still have 5 tough ones.... @dallas @houston @minny miami knicks 2-3? at best 20-19? by mid january. on pace for about 42 wins
anybody wanna rethink those predictions???? @houston.... no way we beat them @minny.... they almost beat boston MIAMI... seriously? knicks... just rolled SA 3 games under 500 after knicks game???? The good news is FINALLY the schedule lightens up after that stretch above.
Yeah, no way the Blazers beat the Rox! If they loose the rest of the string they'll be two games under 500. On the bright side, this will make you closer to being right in your other thread. Go Blazers
I wonder if he roots for the Blazers to lose when he predicts them to lose all the time? The answer is most definitely yes, otherwise he wouldn't make bets with people to leave the site for period of time if he's wrong. Quite the fan.....errrr.....troll.
Couldn't help but note that the Blazers not only beat the Rockets in Houston, despite MIXUM's assertion that it was impossible, but that they did it by playing a lineup through most of the 4th quarter that included 3 guys off of what he says is the worst bench in the NBA.
Our bench is bad. But they are getting better. These kids are still learning, most of them haven't really got a ton of playing time before this year, and some of them, had almost none. I expect them to take a lot of lumps, but improve. Not so good right now. But maybe by end of year, we will have made some strides, identified how they are progressing, and then we can make informed decisions for any personnel changes.
Obviously, the bench we have now is not what it was intended to be at the start of the season. Losing two projected starters in Brandon and Oden sucked talent from the bench. Joel's recovery being slowed by the bad ankle sprain hasn't helped either. I think that Patty Mills has emerged as a competent backup PG and that he's going to only improve as the season goes on. Dante seems to have worked his way out of his shooting slump and has been good the last couple of games. Rudy is still inconsistent, but on some nights he's been a real asset. One thing I was thinking last night, as I watched Patty, Rudy, and Dante contribute, is that if Brandon Roy could get his knees to hold up for around 15 to 20 minutes a game, he'd really fit well with the 2nd unit. Mills, with his outside shot, and Rudy are the kind of players that would space the floor for Roy. Dante's mid-range jumper would also work as an outlet when Roy gets doubled. Joel has played a lot with Brandon and knows how to work with him well. I know it's looking doubtful that he'll play this season, but if he can and if he would embrace the 6th man role, it would really bolster the second unit and help avoid those scoring droughts that plague us some games.
Wow, MIXUM. You should be careful. You can blow out a rotator cuff throwing in the towel that hard and that often.
4-2 in those games, 19-17 overall, 7-3 last 10 games, 2.5 games ahead of Houston and Memphis and currently holding the 8th seed.
