Well, that's not exactly true. Aldridge was averaging 20 PPG earlier in the season. Admittedly it was only 4 games in though.

And then I get depressed. 10 forwards in the West with better PER than Aldridge. He's gonna have to keep going 25/10 till decision time to have a prayer at making the All Star team. And we have to rise in the standings.

LA has been a beast. I hope he continues to tear it up and play with the same toughness he's shown the past few weeks.

Interesting that Camby gobbles up all these rebounds yet has a PER of 17. I would've guessed higher.

Anyway, it's not where you were but where you're going. I really don't see much reason why Aldridge can't be a 24/10 guy through the prime of his career. The things he is doing now aren't some kind of statistical fluke. He's not on a "hot streak." The guy is just flat out dominating in the post. It's more likely he'll add a few Tim Duncan tricks (glass bank shot, bringing ball up into arms of defender to draw a foul) than it is that his game falls off.

My favorite new move of Aldridge's is the up and under. He always finishes and almost always with tons of contact that never gets called.
