If he's tired of rehab, imagine how Oden must feel.

Bummer. I was hoping he'd sound a little more optimistic about playing longer. Can't say that I blame him though.

I think he'll continue playing as long as he doesn't get seriously injured again before the end of the season.

I'd love to see him play a few more years as a Trail Blazer (if the price was reasonable), but if I was in his shoes I'd retire. He's had a solid career that he should be proud of. It'd be a blast to have his $$ and retire at his age and enjoy time with family and friends.

Joel went through his share of injuries as a pup as well.

I bet if he stays injury free for the rest of the year he'll rediscover his love for the game. One more contract will do a lot to convince you to keep playing.

Exactly. And people wonder why he doesn't always have the demeanor of Ned Flanders. GO has to be frustrated beyond belief. Money doesn't buy happiness, it only makes life more comfortable. Give him a season where he's just hooping and you'll see the happy-go-lucky GO we drafted.

Hopefully I see him like this with the Blazers. I have a distinct feeling some team is going to offer him MLE money for an extended period of time, and he's going to ditch us this summer. Being a Blazer fan has made me cynical.
