That's the most surprising part. With the whistles he gets as a rookie playing on a crappy team, if he can become an average FT shooter, he'll lead the league in scoring. And, the more he scores, the more whistles he'll get. It's how the Stern Hype Machine works.

I love Griffin's game. The guy has a motor like no one I've seen in awhile. But, I'm wondering how taxing that is on his body. I hope he can play several years at this level because its really fun to watch.

Griffin is probably the most fun to watch individual to come to the league in quite some time. Kid is the real deal and makes me want to watch Clippers games.

I watched a little of the Knick/Rocket game today and I have to say that Chuck Hayes, all 6'6" of him,. may be the best post defender in the League. He annoys the hell out of his opponent. Reminds me of a young Kurt Thomas.

^Agreed. His footwork on defense is crazy. Its like he uses his feet to crowd players space and make them shoot off balance. I never seen anything like it really from a player of his size.

Hayes is a generous 6'6" and can take guys who are a good 5 to 6" inches taller than him completely out of their game. Got to love the undrafted guy who's found his niche in the league.

The griz just nipped Toronto by 2 after losing with 2 and half to play (if 2.5 is close, that is how close the Blazers are to Utah and less than half of that to Denver)

Phx went down pretty handly to Philly

Either OKC or NO is going to lose

Utah and Denver are idle tonight

So with a win tonight the Blazers can gain ground again in the playoff race.
