Rather than my other blu-ray thread, we'll discuss: - blu ray releases - blu ray reviews - post pad cool.
^ Fuck that. Real fans want the original, non-special edition trilogy. In fact I could do without Jedi, even.
Ugh. Like getting a bag of jelly beans and picking the black ones out. Consider the prequel trilogy part of the packaging and throw it out with the cellophane.
Buried: 8.5/10 Bought this today. It was minimalist film, but the picture quality on it was great. No real grain, all while the Ryan Reynolds gave a great performance.
So am I. Not fucking kidding, this thread is gonna go 10 pages in 3 and i'll probably the only one posting.
Lawrence of Arabia on BD this year!!! According to Playstation Magazine: So damn stoked. Along with Lord of the Rings and Chinatown (another movie they need to put on blu ray), this is in my top 3 of all time.
Waiting for Bad Boys II, Taxi Driver (rumored for April), and a few others. I'll pass on Star Wars. Was never a big scifi fan as a kid.
I believe it is the special edition trilogy, though. The one with all the extra crap thrown in. The remastered original cuts are what I'm after.
When I was little used to come home and watch tapes until my parents got back from work. The four videos we had in our old shitty townhouse were Ghostbusters, Return of the Jedi (I didn't know there were more Star Wars movies at the time), Back to the Future, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. So far I only have Ghostbusters but I want the rest.
Good news Mamba... Taxi Driver is coming on fucking blu ray! April 5th, on my birthday too! i'm definitely getting that as a present for myself only 17.99 right now. You better pre-order now because apparently the prices hike up to 24.99 by late february.
lol funny thing is, Mambaa got me into blu rays. 9 months later, I got 220 blu rays. Blu rays aren't that expensive if you know where (and when) to look. You can get $20 blu rays on ebay for $4.99 if you're patient enough.
