They beat the Blazers, then the Lakers, now the Hornets? Is this team turning things around? I guess we'll find out for sure when they play Boston and San Antonio coming up.

    Cousins is legit.

His passing is A LOT better than I thought. I like their core.

They have a lot of nice young talent. Evans was RoY and a great explosive SG. Cousins is a person who I think will turn out to be the best player from the draft. They have a lot of other good players on the team Laundry/Casspi/Dalembert/Thompson. There a young team and if they can keep it together there gonna be a tough team for quiet awhile.

Almost every team makes a run at some point during the season.

One thing I noticed about them when they were beating us is that they play with an attitude. A nasty one at that.

Quick, how many former NBA "guards" are now head coaches in the league?

On paper, the Kings are a pretty good team. They're just finally putting it together. I could see them making the playoffs next season.

Chris, you beat me - I was going to post the same things.

Two of those wins were on the road.

We'll just have to see if this is aberration or turnaround.

I rather like the Kings, except when they play Portland. When I'm in Sacramento, we mildly rib each other but both teams' fans recognize the real enemy is the Evil Empire of the South.

We agree!! (first time for everything )

But that's really all there is to it. Tyreke Evans was slowed by an injury for the first two months of the season and because they are so young, inconsistency is almost always going to be an issue. They still have a ways to go as far as learning to be winners, but in a weakened West next season they could make the jump to being a playoff team as long as guys continue to develop and if Cousins can show some maturity.

Agreed. They have a lot of talent. It was just a matter of time before that lineup started winning at a better clip.

Doc Rivers, Paul Westphal, George Karl (although he made his bones in the ABA), Jerry Sloan. I'm sure there are others.

I thought that almost ALL NBA coaches are previous NBA guards. The interesting list is the coaches who AREN'T.

On paper the Kings look like they should be better than an 11 win team. Problem is there best player has had a down year. Some kind of personal stuff going on with him, I think he'll get it back.

Among non-guards, I can only think of Phil Jackson (wasn't he a SF/PF?) and Kurt Rambis... and Wes Unseld back in the day.
