I prefer USVI's such as Saint Thomas or St. Croix as their coral is less damaged than Hawaii's.
I have been to Hawaii three times and I prefered the USVI's even though it costs more to fly there.

 

Man, I'm getting so close to pulling that trigger. Just talked to island girl last night and she's informed me (in her best hypnotic trance voice) that "the beach is caaaaalling me."

On the way to the airport last Tuesday, I notice that Lowe's was hiring. Hmmm...they're not so bad.

You have few points in your life where you are untethered, either by a family or a job you love or a mortgage. If you're going to try something radical, it would seem now is the time. The worst that happens is you come back in a year or return to Atlanta.

Of course, you're communicating with a guy who got so burned out he quit investment banking and opened a chain of coffeehouses in Scandinavia.

As you may remember, I had always had in interest in the drive-thru espresso concept. Just a gut instinct, but I think drive/walk-thru Kona "iced" espresso operations would bode very nicely in the Honolulu area.

 

ABM, you only live once. The question is, how do you want to live it?

 

Certainly not in this basement apartment.
