had to sign up to point out how wildly idiotic this post is. why would anyone care if oden is in the same shape as internet forum members? why would you be talking him being in shape compared to avg person? if someone is talking about a nba player being in shape, on a basketball forum, its prob safe to assume they mean basketball shape....

unless youre an oden sackhugger who is still delusional about his future with the blazers.

I believe what maxiep is trying to point out is, why have no right to judge someone that we really have no information on. I find it very very hard to believe that anyone in this thread really knows what kind of shape G.O. is in or what his diet is like nowadays. And simply rehashing the same old information from the past over and over and over is "wildly idiotic" IMO

I see your point, and this thread doesnt prove his diet is still bad, but as has been mentioned, it raises a reg flag. if the current instances show him making the same mistakes as the past, it seems reasonable to raise concern with fans (and management although im sure they know well more)

Somebody obviously didn't read the rules..... you don't have nearly enough posts to crack on my boy max like this. We usually wait til we have at least 25 posts. Denny usually somebody is banned for said offense, but I think this guy should be saved. Thread lightly rookie!

You are not alone -- maxiep and ABM are pretty much responsible for most of the posters posting in this forum after the Hap meltdown.

I have every right to judge. All of us as fans that vest our intrest, time and dollars into a public figure/s such as the trail blazers and their players have every right to form opinions and discuss them, hence why ripcitytwo even exists. Not only do I invest my Interest, I also invest in the team with season tickets (expensive ones too). These players wouldn't be talked about if there wernt fans paying to watch them.

If I invest in something I want to see results, which with the blazers, and oden, I am not seeing positive ones. Tickets are still going up in Price as the product continues to fall off. My expectations for oden and sinking just as quickly. Up until this season, I was one of his biggest supporters, but it is time everyone sees the writing on the wall that the dude is just a flat out BUST.

I feel for your plight as a season ticket holder, ( I cannot afford them ), and I think it's imperative we form opinions and discuss them regarding all our vested interests. However, there is a fine line between opinions and judgments. We do not have every right to judge because we simply cannot see all sides of a situation. It's like watching a ten car pile up out the corner of your eye and then you saying without a doubt who's fault it was.

Thanks for taking the time to address my obviously important post. For the record, you only get into basketball shape by actually playing basketball. Since Oden hasn't been cleared to run, clearly he can't reach that hurdle. That being said, to question his commitment to rehab (which he's done successfully three times) is beyond silly. My only point was by any reasonable definition of being in shape, Oden qualifies. If he chooses to go to a club and have a cocktail, it's no one's business.

Others here seem to believe he's Oliver Miller, Mel Turpin or post-strike Shawn Kemp.

Thanks for responding, however. I'll cherish your post.

silly to think hes doing something wrong to require multiple rehab years? maybe drinking and having a awful diet contributes to this problem? your point was foolish and the ONLY reasonable definition of being in shape for a #1 pick making #1 pick money is basketball shape. obviously oden doesnt qualify. if he chooses to go to the club and have a cocktail, its the business of everyone contributing to his multi-million dollar salary. he's welcome to just be a regular joe, but regular joes dont get that paycheck...

Maxiep, this and subsequent posts show you going off the rail.

You are attributing statements and opinions to me I did not make.

    Not sure why, but whatever.

Keep building up fake posts from posters who don't exist so you can "debunk" their wrongheaded opinion.

    Is that fun for you?

What exactly is he doing, since you're obviously a physician with access to his personal health files?

only person that is allowed to have any opinion on him is his doctor? 3 major injuries in 3 years tells me (without needing to see his chart) that he is doing something wrong. as a blazer fan, how does it not make you upset that we wasted what could have been durrant on this guy who cant even get on the court? and doesnt change bad behavior that could be the reason he cant play? like bill walton said, they guy needs to completely change. whats hes doing isnt working. but walton isnt a physician either so i guess his opinion is worthless too?

So what you're really saying is that it's only the business of the NBA insurer and Paul Allen who has subsidized a franchise that has operated in the red for years? Got it, thanks.

you know what i meant. and you know there are no blazers without the intense support from people of portland. their operating in the red is despite selling out every single home game. Portland deserves better than greg oden.
