I find it hilarious that those idiots would be doing that when the NCAA is considering their appeal. It's basically an NFL program at this point. How long until Lane gets in NCAA trouble?
jackson and Simmons just chose Texas Tech and North Carolina respectively. Both shockers IMO. We need to land Heyward somehow
That literally leaves no DL for Oregon. Ebert, Lake and Kamp could be worse I guess. Possibly Colt or French on the DE as well
a lot worse... see my post yesterday. They got some new studs coming in and I suspect Simmons or Heyward would have redshirted like Lake and Kamp will be. Next year will be a different story. btw... Christian French LOI has arrived! STOMP
I heard about French, that is awesome. What new studs on the DL do they have coming in? Colt IFO DAT Those three and if nothing else happens I will be elated
my speculation is that top DLine guys were looking at probably redshirting next year and then still likely being backups to the established rotation the following season. Next year's cycle will only feature a one year wait so the opportunity in Eugene will have improved. Now add on that the NCAA hammer will finally have fallen on USC and they'll have a very limited amount of scholarships to offer and Oregon will probably be coming off of another solid to great season. it's a great time to be a Duck STOMP
so stoked on this one... Marcus Mariota! Randall is questionable getting in with his SATs and MM looks like a perfect Duck QB prospect. STOMP
IFO! okay, my beer is gone and most of the birds in the bush are now in hand so I'm taking off on a bike ride. Should be super fun with the UO presser at 3PM seeing DAT tonight @ 7! STOMP
Shelley Smith is on ESPNU saying that USC is furiously trying to convince Thomas and Blackwell to stay with the Trojans. I'd like to know exactly who is doing this convincing, and who is leaking that info to Shelley Smith? Do NCAA rules even matter at SC? Will Lane Kiffen crash DAT's signing party and forcibly make DAT sign with USC? Leaking info to ESPN to try and communicate with recruits seems desperate, doesn't it?
It seems much more likely that people close to Thomas and Blackwell would be telling Smith that than that USC would be leaking it themselves. Ed O.
I thought that initially, but then I thought further about who would get more out of using ESPN as a mouthpiece. Smith said nothing about Oregon.
