I like what I saw; he also had a block that wasn't counted for some reason. He's fast and fairly coordinated, and has a lot of energy. He's also only 4 days older than LMA. Given how old our centers are, it's a breath of fresh air to be 25!
I would like to see a Chris Johnson vs. Shawn Bradley boxing match. You would have to pick a clear day so the wind doesn't blow them over. We want those KO's to be legit.
I think on a team like ours that has stronger guys like Przybilla, Aldridge (wow, still feels funny to say that), Miller and Matthews, you can live with a 7 foot stick for 10 mpg. He kind of builds on the forest of long arms created by Batum/Aldridge/Camby. He's a damned sight more relevant than Marks.
He'll get a second ten-day, then Camby will come back and he'll be dropped. Right now, he's playing for an invite to SL with us.
pryzbilla wont be here past deadline. johnson will be his replacement if we dont get a big back in a trade.
its looking more and more like the marks expirement has ended. johnson playing last night was no fluke. expeCt him quite a bit vs indy and cavs.
rather see Marks dropped but given that they guaranteed his contract (mistake IMO) that probably won't happen
It's better than Sean Marks "the final piece". Always look on the bright side of life, toodoo, toodoodoodoodoodoodoodoodoodoo
the big question is.... what kinda prybilla deal does cho make??? the kind where we get a quality player to help us? or the kind where its draft picks in future.
If he believes in the Presti model, then it's almost certainly going to be for a pick as the primary piece coming back, though we may end up with a warm body in the exchange by default.
I'm not sure that makes sense in Joel's case. His primary value is as an ending contract. Usually that kind of a situation is used to take on a player with a longer contract so as to free up cap space for the other team. I guess there are permutations where we take a junk contract and a pick, but I'd think Cho would be looking to bolster either the backup PG or PF spot.
I have a feeling it's not going to be a simple 2 team trade. I wouldn't be shocked to see Cho piggy-back Joel's contract in some other team's larger deal and try to prise a pick out of the deal or a cheap-ish younger player.
