Like mentioned before in the thread, GS would likely prefer Murphy's .5 year (~5mil) left vs. Biedrins' 3.5 years (~31mil) left.

The deal was for Gadzric and Wright, not Biedrins.

Well, that's a "fuck no". Murphy can ball, and he's a rebounding machine who has a bit of an attitude.

That may be because NJ doesn't want any part of Biedrins's contract.

I think it's entirely reasonable that GS might be willing to dump some salary, and Murphy-for-Biedrins'd be a good way to do it.

Ah. I had assumed that we would trade for Harris and Murphy and then immediately flip Murphy to GS for Gadzuric and Williams. I didn't think NJ would be involved in the second piece.

I for one do not renew if they include Oden in this deal. Giving up on him now would be stupid. There will be a lockout and cost nothing to PA to sign him to a contract. When healthy he is a dominate player. He'll have two+ years to recover and come back healthy. Singing him is not a risk now with Roy's long term salary, being over the cap already is a no brainer. My rep calls me weekly about renewal, I am waiting for the trade deadline and make my decision about my tickets after Thursday. I can cave and buy comcast and save 7K/year.

I guess I should have clarified by saying that I don't buy it for a second, because I believe that Cho is smarter than this. However, should he prove me wrong, then my initial statement stands.

I'm not even sure why NJ would want Oden, with Lopez already manning that spot.

I'm not opposed to dealing Oden if the deal is right, but I wouldn't move him unless we were getting back a nice player with a lot of upside (and no injury history).

Cracks me up when people draw Internet lines in the sand about the Blazers over rumors and incomplete negotiations. Maybe we should wait and see what, if anything, happens before tarring and feathering Cho.

e, that's not any fun, though. I much prefer the board m.o. of freaking out over every new Tweet, Bleep, Blip, or Whistle.

It's been like this all season.... why stop now?

Rumor comes out, people flame Cho... nothing happens.

Rumor concerning another team comes out, Blazers not involved, people flame Cho... nothing happens.

I don't believe anyone is calling for Cho's head now; I believe that what I and others have done is present an if-then statement. IF what I stated happens, THEN I will have seen what I need to see in order to make a judgment. If a different deal is made--or no deal at all--then my evaluation remains open. What's wrong with that?

I read that NJ is trying to put a bunch of international players together to expand their european fan base. Any chance to include Rudy in this deal and make it work? Also, any chance in outlaw coming back to portland some how?

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Blazers expected to move guard Andre Miller and center Marcus Camby before trade deadline, source said.

I'd be pissed if Camby was moved. Very pissed. He's one of my favorites right now.

Ignore the cap filler, and it is basicaly Miller for Harrris and a first round pick. What's the problem with that? Miller is not going to get the Blazers Williams or CP3.

Like Miller, he's not a part of the future. Cho looks to be building for the long-term, which fans might hate, but is probably the right approach.

I hope they don't move Camby. What could they possibly receive in return? The teams with young talent aren't the ones who would want a 36 year old center.
