Do any of you know anything about Fantasy Baseball?

I'm in a fantasy football, baseball, basketball league. Baseball is the only one I know nothing about.

I took over for someone who used to be in this league, so I'm left with his team and have to pick 6 keepers from it. Anyone think they could help me out?

Sounds about right except for I'd definitely keep Ichiro before Bautista, or Beltre. Don't look for Bautista to keep up with the gaudy #'s he got last year. I think last year was an aberration for him. Beltre has always been a wild card, you don't know what your going to get out of him.

The only way I think that you should start/keep any of those guys every year is if your league is really heavily weighed on HR and RBI's. You know with Ichiro your going to get 200hits, +.330 avg and a good numbers of SB's.

A lot of people have said that but he seems to be my 2nd best pitcher to have as a keeper and pitchers are worth the most.

Good news is I have the second pick of the leftovers.

Well Bautista and Beltre both give me 3B eligibility (with bautista also having OF). I've heard that OF is the easiest to fill, and everyone thinks I should keep Werth over Ichiro.

So since Bautista can play 3B, I guess it's Beltre vs Ichiro so that I dont take 3 OF guys as keepers.

Don't keep Beltre unless it's a contract year! Build your team up the middle. Good Catchers and 2nd baseman should be high on your list. They're limited. Plus, Beckett took a line drive off his melon today. Ouch. Good luck. Fantasy baseball is harder than the other sports I think.

Is this a straight keeper league where you keep the 6 best and then redraft the rest as a rotation draft? Or is it a salary keeper league where you have Beltre for $X and Ichiro for $Y? Just wondering since most keeper leagues I've seen use salary in order to actually add value to your keepers. Otherwise just keep the top rated guys for your league stats.

Beltre is definitely a contract year guy. I remember he hit 50 with the Dodgers than didn't do shit until last year. Good point about catchers and 2nd baseman, thats starting to change though.

Fantasy baseball has always been easier for me. Pitching wins.

Because the league has fantasy baseball, basketball and football so you have a sport to play each part of the year.
