Trouble is, the team would have to throw in LaMarcus to get someone to take Brandon. Brandon is still a decent player, but his contract is a killer.

Don't come to the forum with problems; come with solutions. Find a trade for Roy that will work and both sides will accept.

Glad that you are finally awake this week, but the trade-deadline was last Thursday. He cannot be traded until our season ends.
If I'm mistaken that you did know this - then are you really predicting we lose our remaining games?? Oh my.

Team is going through difficult assimilation of players (Roy, Camby and Wallace). Aldridge, Matthews are not playing with the same intensity and purpose as before.

Rather than TRADE ROY - our motto should be to coach and direct Roy. He cannot do the things he used to do.

    Solution Coming Soon

At least hopefully. The new CBA will probably have another exemption in it to waive 1 player and take him off the salary cap books. The big question is, would Portland have the balls to waive Roy

I'd waive him either way. He's physically of no use and will prevent our success as long as he is here.

Trade Roy for a teams 2012 unprotected #1 pick. Several teams are Unser the cap. Washington, for example.

Why would Washington want to take on that contract AND give up an unprotected pick? Maybe they could throw in another #1 as well, just to make sure they completely fuck up their future.

    Trade BRoyz for teh Durant!!!

The last CBA just let teams waive a player and not his salary count towards the luxury tax. It still counted as team salary for computing the salary cap. Unless this one is different, we'd be losing any use of Roy and not getting any cap space to get new players.

If were gonna match anything thrown at oden might as well keep roy because we wont have cap space anyway. Now if by the end of the year roy still looks this bad I wouldn't be dreadfully sad to see the type of contract waiving that was in the last cba

    1. Roy is untradeable.
    2. Everybody is untradeable, because the trading deadline has passed.

    Other than that, good plan.

He's still my favourite player. Yelled and cheered long and hard when he hit that 3 v Denver.

I worry as Roy's skills continue to decline and LA's increase if Roy will become a huge locker room cancer for this team! Roy has had problems with a handful of playes already, I don't see good things coming from this. How can they? There isn't a fix for Roy's knees and he didn't do the meniscus surgery that might help. I agree with Maris61 , I'd release him at season end before he gets bitter and the team and its growth ultimately suffer.

Brandon just needs to transform his game. I think he takes over the Batum role of hanging out around the three point line. I hope he works very hard on his long range shot. I think he could become deadly in that role.

I don't think he has it in him to be a steve kerr type of role player. He wants the game winning shot and LA is only to happy to oblige him at the expense of the team and its flow. It's a tough pill to swallow that his knees have kept him from being one of the best players in the NBA, but the sooner he comes to terms with this, the better for the team! Will he?!?! I don't know!
