I don't think we'd be able to go with that for more than a few minutes. Teams pressure as hell when Miller or Patty aren't in the game because our other wings struggle with ball handling, especially Matthews.
Since coming back from surgery, he's shot 40% from 3. I know it's only been 7 games, but still... watching his new role will be as interesting as watching LMA's new role back in December.
I know it and sure hope he can sustain it. Watching LMA kick it out to Roy to beat the double team then Roy swishing the 3 was a thing of beauty!! Been waiting to see that for 4-5 years now, and I think I teared up a bit when I saw that haha.
LOL! I was the same way... I was like "THIS IS IT.... YESS!" when he shot and then hit the 3. Roy is an assassin in crunch time, and having him out there, even physically diminished, is worth it for his mental toughness. The "ole inside out" game between LMA and Roy will bear some good fruit.
[insert personal attack here... preferably one that involves a goat, a lit candle, and three hand grenades]
I think he is the ideal person to have feed LMA the ball in the post, primarily because he will hit a three if his defender sags on LMA, which was what we saw for a week or so after Bryant showed that sagging off of Miller effectively shut down LMA.
Well, actually 4 in a row, 11 out of the last 14, and 29-16 (.644) in the past 45. Not to mention 7 road wins in a row, the most in two decades. But, yeah, never hurts to be a wet blanket.
See, now you're not trying. This required no effort or nuance. It's tough to defend your lack of creativity in this post.
Wow, you're so wise. You're clearly a veteran basketball watcher...you know when to enjoy wins and when not to!
Or have Roy rotate to Andre's position on the pas-and-cut, so that he's always in reach when LMA is down low. Plus, that rotation (Andre across the key, and Roy to Andre's old spot) may tempt Roy's defender to drift onto LMA, freeing up Roy for the shot. Rotate Wallace to the top of the key for a straight up slash if Roy passes up his shot, and Andre to the other side of the key for a baseline slash, and you have opportunities - legit opportunities - at every position.
What do a couple of wins in critical playoff games have to do with a couple of road wins during the middle of the season? Very little.
Like you, I also think we shouldn't enjoy it when our team wins and looks to be playing well. You'd think this is entertainment or something.
