Come see one of the greatest minds of our generation in person!

"Dr. Michio Kaku is a theoretical physicist, best-selling author, and popularizer of science. He’s the co-founder of string field theory (a branch of string theory), and continues Einstein’s search to unite the four fundamental forces of nature into one unified theory."

That link advertises Dr. Kaku's book tour. I hope Dr. Kaku's publisher edited Dr. Kaku's spelling.

I already figured that out. Notice your spelling?

Don't search now. I don't mean to give you a bad trip.

I'm a huge fan of his work. I listened to him all the time when he was on Art Bell and I have already read one of his books on string theory. Damn..... now I might have to go down to Powells.

Because Art was one of the best radio programs ever. Sure, Art had on some nutty people, but he also had on some amazing guests like Michio Kaku. He had an open door and he'd have all kinds of interesting shows. Made for great radio.

I really like that guy, he can explain theories that would usually go right over my head but somehow dumbs them down so even a uneducated person who cant understand words with more then 3 syllables like me, thinks they can grasp what he is talking about.

Do you ever listen to Michio's weekly radio show? Great stuff! Gets some amazing guests that you won't hear anywhere else. Here is the link to last Tuesday's show - http://www.kpfa.org/archive/show/51

You may not recognize the name but I'm sure you've seen him on TV. He has his own cable show, all the networks use him to explain science things in the news and he was even on Letterman 2 nights ago.

I don't watch TV. But, I'll take your word for the fact he's a knowledgeable nip.

Kaku attended Cubberley High School in Palo Alto in the early 1960s. At the National Science Fair in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he attracted the attention of physicist Edward Teller, who took Kaku as a protégé, awarding him the Hertz Engineering Scholarship. Kaku graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a B.S. degree in 1968 and was first in his physics class. He attended the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley and received a Ph.D. in 1972 and held a lectureship at Princeton University in 1973. During the Vietnam War, Kaku completed his U.S. Army basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and his advanced infantry training at Fort Lewis, Washington.

He's an American who served our country so I'd rethink the nip comment.

He's one of those creepy-smart guys. I remember him on the Future-Car Series that the Discovery Channel did a few years back.

    Bump!

So is anyone besides me going? How many times in life do you get to meet a world renowned physicist?

The Art Bell show was the best show ever. he was smart as a whip and most of his guests were great. George Noory however sucks beyond belief.
