I'm late to this party apparently.. but sorry in advance Rizzle.. Blake doesnt get any better in the playoffs.
Why don't you make it your last? Seriously. I have a couple of nephews who are throwing their lives away because they are addicted to booze and drugs. It's a bad road to go down, my friend. Hope you don't even start.
Or, you can live fast for a few years and slow down nicely. The Devil Drink doesn't consume every life it comes in contact with. I do agree that 15 beers shouldn't be a regular part of anyone's diet, though! That was my one-time top number as well. But only the once. Now, I pick and choose powerful, tasty beers one or two in a night, maybe one or two nights a week.
Tell that to my nephews. One is in rehab right now. The other admits that he can't stop drinking. And sometimes dynamite doesn't explode when it's supposed to--but why take a chance?
Both our sides are anecdotal, so neither is worth a damn to that kid a few posts up; yours is the more cautious approach, and probably the one worth following, but your experience is not all-encompassing.
But what's the point of even messing around with the stuff??? I have a friend in his 50's (another anecdote) who can't stop drinking for the life of him, though he has tried many times. Alcohol is probably the single greatest source of human misery on the planet when you consider the domestic violence, auto accidents, and general mayhem caused by its influence.
I don't like alcohol which is why I haven't drank it much. Everything with alcohol in it tastes absolutely disgusting to me. I drank cause I was with my friends who I don't see much and it was spring break.
Pray you never discover girl drinks...
I'm sure you do lots of things in your life that could eventually harm you, but you get some enjoyment out of it. Why do you do those things???
I agree alcohol is the most harmful drug in the US, especially in our society where its use and abuse has such acceptance. Some people will lose all control around alcohol and destroy their lives. Some people can easily handle it with zero consequences. Most of us are in the middle, while using it we’ll have some consequences, side effects, and potential danger but not enough to cause serious repeated wreckage in our lives. The main thing I don’t like with alcohol is when people don’t accept it as a drug. Having a drink is the same as smoking weed from a pop can or snorting coke in a bathroom, you’re partaking in an activity to get the mind altering drug effect. Sure most people can have an occasional drink every week and be fine, but most people could probably have a little heroine every week and be fine. It’s just alcohol is so accepted in our society it has a different perception. I choose to occasionally have a drink and use alcohol as a drug, I don’t do other drugs, but when I’m drinking I am using a drug.
Getting this thread back to DaRizzle, I think being a fan of the Piss & Purple is the most harmful thing you can do to yourself. Sure, you'll be with the beautiful people, but at what cost to your eternal soul?
ah haha yes wow that was like half a life ago when we were 19..... Same year the Blazers last won a playoff series!
DaRizzle part: Welcome back. Glad to see you around, and can't wait to for the matchup in the postseason.c Drinking part: Genetics. VanillaGorilla, take a look at your family. If there are alcoholics, then perhaps you should take shooters advise and just quit while you're ahead. If you come from a family where everyone can drink but they choose moderation, then enjoy the magic elixir.
Just because your nephews are fuckups doesn't mean everyone else is going to be. Part of the great journey about young adulthood is finding out the potency of alcohol. After a few years most develop a good understanding.
