    Yikes. For the first time in years we actually have some perimeter defense and we are going to get rid of it for a very nice offensive player with good shooting - but terrible defense?

    This team will get Oden in foul trouble before you could start getting worried about his knees.

    This is what I was going to say. The key to being a good defensive team is to actually have players that can defend, and that's why I really like Matthews in the starting 2 role.

    No need to make Batum the starting 2. I wouldn't be opposed to the lineup in stretches, but making it a permanent thing seems like overkill. It's all about matchups.

    It seems to me you have 5 players who can play between 1, 2, and 3. That works out to about 28-29 minutes each, less than starter minutes, but more than bench minutes.

    Andre (starting 1)
    Rudy (backup 1/2)
    Wesley (starting 2)
    Batum (backup 2/3)
    Wallace (starting 3

    Then in the front line, you have three players (at the moment):

    LMA (starting 4)
    Camby (backup 4/5)
    Oden (starting 5)

    That works out to 32 minutes a game each.
