    I wonder if a real black guy has ever grown up in SLC. I don't mean a Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air kinda black.......... i'm talkin' Omar from The Wire black!

    All i found were statistics from 2000, but the percentage on black people in SLC was 1.9% while Portland's was 6.6%. So the black population is significantly smaller than it is here. Plus, over 50% of people in SLC are Mormon..

    I never realized how few black people actually live in Portland til I started traveling for work. Half my friends and schools growing up were 1/2 white 1/2 black! I'd bet 6% of the 6.6% were in my neighborhood!
