Donald Trump: I've got my birth certificate, where President Barack Obama's?

I've considered that theory, but the numbers don't support it. Enough people have questions about it (check the polling) that it's become politically advantageous to release it and to end the issue. As much as people would like to equate "Birther" with "Truther", that strategy hasn't worked. The people asking this simple and reasonable question aren't like the nutjobs like Yega1979 who thinks the US brought down the World Trade Center.

 

I haven't seen any polls that suggest the Republicans are making any headway on the issue. It didn't make an impact at the time, in 2008, and polls I've seen since (which are few and far between because even pollsters don't see it as very worth polling for anymore) have shown decreasing interest over time.

If you have links to some credible polls (like AP, Gallup, etc...not WND) that show otherwise, I'd be interested to look at them.

 

Donald Trump's polling numbers are asking that question via proxy, and they've been shockingly high.

Remember, the issue is whether or not President Obama should produce his original, official long form birth certificate, not whether or not he was born in the United States. Those are two different questions that produce different results.

 

I think Democrats are putting on a good face about all this, but are actually frightened to death by what it may do to Obama's presidency.

I'm sure they'll come to Hawai'i with a complete air of objectivity and willingness to select the outcome that they don't favor if they find evidence to the contrary.

 

Nah. Obama's just messin' with us! He's having a big laugh over this whole "non-issue." He's got that birth certificate and he's going to spring it right before the election . . . It's all just a great opportunity to make Republicans look silly.

 

Who cares? If there's no evidence, they won't find any. If there's evidence, then they'll present it. If Obama is actually a natural-born citizen, he's got nothing to worry about.

Because he thinks that's a weak ticket and Obama would have no problem defeating them.

 

. . . or on his grade school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, Illinois State Bar Association records, etc.

He refuses to release any of the above.

 

I'm quite sure the Harvard Law Review or the Univ. of Chicago could remove his articles from their website (if they have one) or their archives.

I did that just for you. Glad to see you're paying attention.

 

Because I think they'd be entertaining candidates. It's no fun to have them wash out early.

 

Ticket? I wasn't advocating them as a single ticket. As individual candidates, they'd be fun to watch.
