I love all the players on this team and was deeply disturbed by the comments made by fans in the article (especially the death one), and after the article was posted. I love my Blazers and I take criticism on all of them badly. So I wanted to publicly apologize for trippin'

Yes Roy played like shit, but I still have hope the kid will come through. Probably unpopular opinion in here; but I will still hold to my guns.

I am still sticking by my Blazers in 5! :D

Mags I would love noting better than for Roy to score 20 pts plus every game and help us win, I thnk given his injuries and what we have seen from him this year that unfortunately is a total fantasy. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong, but I try to deal in reality.

I think my flame had more to do with the comments made in and on the article. It just really bothers me that people are so willing to toss Roy away like a bad birthday gift. And probably these are the same people that cheered the hell out of Roy when he was B-Roy the Allstar. But whatever man, I know some people are wired that way.

Hopefully Roy comes out and proves the multitude wrong. The bandwagon will welcome them after they eat some crow. <-- Probably comment that they knew it all along that Roy will come back to form again.

    Apologize?

Do you think that Harry Callahan apologized for saying:

    ?

Do you think Riggs apologized for saying:

    ?

Don't apologize for it, celebrate it!!

Fan is short for Fanatic. Nobdoy is seriously trying to kill Roy people in the article just get caught up in their emotions and say outlandish things. Kind of like a few of your posts. ;)

The death thing was way over the top, though. "Fans" like that guy only damage the image of Rip City.

I can't imagine a Blazers fan who doesn't want Roy to come through and help us win playoff games. As far as "(tossing) Roy away" if he can't: When players don't come through and help win games, that's all part of the life cycle of a basketball player. The team, the fans, and the players are all in it to win it. That's what matters, not playing guys who can't produce anymore.

Oh, and I didn't think you melted down. I thought that was your normal. :)

    Cheers bro!

You know what the problem is Mags, I'm a Blazers fan, not a Roy fan. If Roy were traded or if he had somehow signed with someone else, I wouldn't still be a fan of Brandon Roy. I am grateful for all he did for the organization, but at this point in his career he's hurting the team more than he's helping. This version of Roy is not a max contract player, so even if he scores 12 or 15 ppg and hands out a couple of assists in 25 minutes, he's still nothing more than a shell of himself and he's taking up a ton of cap space. Without numbers like he had prior to the injuries to his knees, he'll never be able to make up for the giant weight he's put on our salary cap. That's just a sad fact.

Roy is on the Blazers. That isn't going to change. So, you can spend the next 3 years bitching about Roy, and 2 years about Nate, or you can dramatically alter your posting style and be positive once in a while. Your act in the game thread was tired, and then you disappeared once the Blazers started playing well with Roy in the line-up.

You should inform each person on how they can be a better poster on this forum. You could have your own thread for it. I'd read it.

I have an act? Shit... I had no idea. Maybe I should rehearse more often. Polish it up. Maybe take it on the road? Where is this "other forum" that you and so many others have migrated to? I could do a set there.

I wouldn't be too sure about Roy being on the Blazers for three more years though. I have a feeling we might see the amnesty clause make a comeback, and if that's the case, Roy will find himself without a job.

Well, we really do need to kick Roy to the curb if we have any chance of winning.

What are you talkin about BP... every team needs a Steve Francis, Andrei Kirilenko, Allan Houston type contract on their books.
