You seem like an ubber cool Laker fan. I have many oober cool Laker friends where I live. I really wish I could wish the Lakers have a good game for ya, but I just hate em. Nothing against you. I do want to meet you guys in round 2 if we make it there. I mean if you truly have the goal to win it all, everyone gotta get past the Lakers! :D

Kobe sucks in the big pressure games:

Game 6 of 2008 NBA Finals: 7 of 22 FGs

Game 7 of 2010 NBA Finals: 6 of 24 FGs

He is also 6 of 22 in potential game winners in the playoffs

Sorry King, I was referring to the early 2000's playoffs. But okay Kobe does suck. I take back what I said about Kobe being clutch! :D

Artest saved his ass in Game 7. And Horry, who carried Kobe to 3 titles, has 7 championships. So what?

But back to my point. Historically, Kobe usually chokes in the big games. This is a fact.

I think it does nothing to them emotionally. They'll come out strong in game 5, and imho, end up winning. :(

I hope I'm wrong and Portland wins games 5 and 6.

Will Roy have another big game, that's my only question. If the answer is yes, we will win Game 5.

I think we need to see a big game from G Wall. The guy hasn't had a huge game yet in this series and I think he's due.

We'll find out, but personally I'm concerned about the Blazers mind-set. The celebration is over, guys, and it's back to work time. Saturday's game is only a footnote unless Portland wins the series. Don't go in overconfident, don't let Dallas start thinking they can win.

I doubt if Roy will have another performance like Saturday, but he won't need to if the team doesn't get 23 points down late.

But I had to laugh at the Mavs blogger saying Portland fans don't know what it's like to be jinxed. Hell, Portland INVENTED the jinx!

As a Lions fan, if the Mavs feel that then they are scarred for life as losers.

While it was crushing at the time, I don't think they'll be much of a hangover for them. The truth of the matter is that we played like garbage for 3 quarters, and it took a performance of a lifetime for the Blazers to come back. If the Blazers play like that again, we'll lose by 30 on the road.

If the Blazers can come out from the tip and build a solid lead, I don't think the Mavs will recover. Setting the tone early is the key to the game.

I think the start of the game is crucial as far as the Mavs psyche goes, if we can start well and get on top of them that could be a huge factor. If they play well in the fist qtr I think that will help restore their confidence. We need to take advantage of what I believe is a 'window of vulnerability". Can the Blazers develop a killer instinct?

I'm curious to see how Jason Kidd shoots his first 3 point attempt after launching that ugly brick during the choke run. He looked like Kidd of old from the outside.

100% agree with this! But on the flip side, remember Dallas gave up a 23 point lead. That will always haunt them in this game. Say they come out strong and even get like a 10-15 point lead. If Portland gets a run on them, especially if it's Roy in the line-up when this happens; I suspect a "Here we go again from the team and fans" Either way, mentally, the Blazers have the advantage. Dallas is very fragile and anything could destroy their confidence
