I really hope the Mavs are as concentrated on the reffing as their fans seem to be.

The bitching about officiating looks a lot like this forum after game 1

Seriously, do you even like the Blazers? What the fuck is your deal? I don't expect a bunch of group think out of everyone, but I would think people would actually like their damn team. It's like there's a constant stream of piss in your cereal. And you keep on eating it.

If you mean to say that the home team tends to get a few more favorable calls than the road team, then I guess I'd agree...but that's not exactly news.

Uncalled for at best. Just pointing that out is all.

Please continue to keep questioning me on my love for the Blazers though. You will also need to get in line to do that, however.

MM has a good point! Whenever we lose, it's blame the refs time. There is gonna be some bad calls tonight too. Plan on it, but the calls usually even themselves out over the course of a series.

Again, uncalled for. So does this mean extreme Blazer homer and Blazer employee, HCP isn't a fan either because he said I had a good point?

I think Bill Simmons is right when he says we are like soccer moms. Way too sensitive

So you'd be the soccer mom that thinks her kid is fat and ugly?

Well there is a big difference between game 1 and the rest of the series. Game 1, we outscored Dallas by 30 in the paint and had 20 less free-throws. In fact Dallas only scored like 10 points in the paint. It was obvious Dallas was jump shooting, yet they got to the line. Since then, I think it's been called fair with slight favoritism to the home team. That's the way it should be.

No, I'd be the soccer mom who doesn't think her kid is the greatest at everything because I know that's not true. I would support my kid though as much as possible, and root for my kid to do the best my kid could do

Well, that would be a lie - because you would know your kid is the best at lobs.

This shows my point. Dallas fans disagree with you. I think it has been called pretty well from game 2-4 as well.

Points in the paint is an interesting stat. If you go to the hoop and are fouled but don't make it, it's not points in the paint. Even though you are being aggressive and taking it to the paint

    Sure, but lobs isn't everything.

Very true, but that wasn't the case in game 1. If you actually go on ESPN game center, you can see the shot selection. 80% of their shots came outside the paint, yet they made it to the line 20 times more than the Blazers. Then you look at the shot selection of the Blazers and 75% of their shots came in the paint, yet they went to the line only 6 times. That was completely one sided. Since then, I think it's been called very fair. Yeah some blown calls on both ends and the Blazers got some favoritism in their home games, but I don't think that matters and you don't see Dallas complaining too much about it.

I think this is the series where Aldridge has finally started garnering some "superstar calls." Not a ton of them, but it's starting to be noticeable.

Especially on a couple of marginal calls against Chandler. In terms of foul trouble, one foul on Chandler is worth two fouls against anybody else in a Dallas jersey.
