I'm still wondering about reports that no weapons found in the compound. If there were some, wouldn't we see pictures of them? or an acknowledgement?

also wondering if there are toys like that, if there were kids there too. maybe they shouldn't have been hanging out with OBL and deserve to die too.

 

Don't forget sharks with fricking laser beams on their heads. A waste of money and manpower, if you ask me, for what seems to be minimal effectiveness.

 

We do know that they found marijuana plants growing in the compound. So, that's nice. I wonder if Osama and the boyz used to burn tree and watch the Harold and Kumar flicks for shits and grins?

Yeah, SPD, the thing I find amusing is the "we did this" oh "No we did not" bs from the white house. They are like compulsive liars, just cant tell the truth about anything, even when its a good thing..

I think the larger problem is they didn't have the sense to say, "We don't yet know." They were so anxious to get out news of this incredibly successful operation they didn't get the details straight.

What should have been done is to have had a military officer--who had detailed knowledge of the operation and the weapons and tactics used--hold the press briefing. After the JSOC debriefing, there should have had another press briefing to fill in the missing pieces of the operation. I think this Administration just isn't comfortable with the military, so that path didn't occur to them.

 

The president is the one who should have given the initial report like he did on Sunday.

The administration should definitely have used the phrase "We won't be sure until we get a full debrief of the operation from the ones involved, so I will tell you what we know so far...". Either way, that phrase would also bring many of opposite political views to question the validity of the operation and start conspiracy theories. There is no stopping them.

Just like we saw, even when Obama released his long form birth certificate it was declared a fake. There is nothing to that will get through to these people, so it is best to just ignore them. If Bush was in Obama's shoes, there would be many on the left to start the theories, and the right would be accepting it as God's spoken word.

 

I think President Obama should have pulled OBL's head out a sack last Sunday night, yelled "Gotcha, motherfucker!" as he held it up to the camera, and then spiked it to the ground like a football while, Michelle, Biden, and the 9/11 families join him onstage as they all dance the Dougie.

Alas, they didn't go this route.

 

Well, my idea, posted before I heard about the burial at sea, was putting his head on a pike, at the gates of Arabia.

But I guess that's not touchy-feely enough for President Obama.

 

How about the "bigger picture"? Don't you think Osama, if alive, would immediately shoot a video release that he is still alive? If he was truly "still alive"; this would be the best opportunity to fuck up U.S.A's credibility. I would suspect he would chomp at the bit to release something like that.

 

The Bollywood stage where they filmed the moon landing never did that. Why would Osama do?
