Yep, but the same people complaining about it would be praising one of our guys for doing it, and saying it was nice someone showed some heart

I don't think so, not at that juncture of the game. A hard foul or a cheap shot is one thing, but I don't think most Portland fans would support something like that. It shows poor sportsmanship and zero class. The Mavs outplayed them, they obviously wanted it more, and the dirty play at the end of game just showed that the Lakers are bad losers.

No way! If it was what Artest did, I would be saying at least we shown some heart. But what Bynum did had nothing to do with heart. It was a blantant and direct act of trying to injure the other player.

Watch the videos. MANY MANY dirty PLAYS. Its part of the NBA. Everyone is so damn used to these weak FOUL calls etc... I miss 80's and early 90's basketball...... That would have been a tech, a suspension for a game or two and people would move on. Thanks Denny for posting more videos. Seems like everyone wants BYNUMS head for this.. GET REAL! The greatest teams in the NBA have had some of their finest stars perform some of the most dirty plays I've seen. Did you see Kevin Mchale almost tear off Rambis's head? Dr. J and Larry Bird duke it out? Part of the game.

Riiiight.... you probably also think that helmet on helmet hits in football are "part of the game".

You probably think this play was "okay" too, right?

Totally different! Those plays didn't take place at the end of blowout when being swept. Those fouls were in the heat of an actual battle. Bynum was just a sore loser and took a guy out for no good competitive reason. Disgusting and classless.

I think the term, "Disgusting Laker Fans" is from the Department of Redundancy Department.

Larry Krystkowiak basically had his career ruined by Bill Laimbeer for the exact same bitch move that Miller pulled on Blake Griffin.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I like that as this thread wars on, you get angrier and angrier with Andre Miller. "You know, the more I think about it, the more cowardly and hateful that jerk becomes!"

It was a cheap shot. A well-deserved cheap shot, earned by two earlier cheap shots by Griffin.

Bynum's cheap shot was on a completely different level.

I never said the foul was "OKAY". But everyone is practically trying to crucify Bynum for the hit. He was an idiot for doing it, but some are calling for 20 game suspensions and being barred from the league? Come on!

It was a stupid ass frustration foul at the end of the game. He certainly embarassed me and I practically went red in the face with all the haters at the bar looking at me in my Laker jersey, but give me a break. Disgusting and classless, but lesson learned. Move on. They fined him, suspended him for 5 games. Folks, this is basketball, emotions run high especially in a playoff game, and after your used to winning for so long. Its not an excuse, but shit happens. 23 year old, does some stupid ass shit. Is this the first time a young kid has done something stupid before? Some idiot move like that shouldn't cause haters to go on a witch hunt for his head. It was a bitch move, I'll be the first to admit it.

I was not "HAPPY" with the foul. It defintely wasnt what I envisioned to end our streak at 3 straight trips to the finals, and PJAX retirement party

We'll see about the lesson learned. He didn't learn from injuring Gerald Wallace, and he didn't learn from hurting Beasley. What gives you ANY confidence that he will learn from this latest incident?

Disgusting and classless? Definitely. Lesson learned? Only time will tell. Given his history, Bynum appears to be a very slow learner. Until he stops committing these types of fouls, there is no proof he has learned anything.

And Andrew Bynum needs to learn to control his emotions and not put other players at risk of serious injury because he can't handle losing. And why, exactly, does this shit keep happening to Bynum and no one else? Has anyone else committed a similar foul during these playoffs? During this regular season? Last season? Why is it JUST Andrew Bynum who puts other players at unnecessary risk in this manner? Jeff Foster committed some hard fouls on Derrick Rose during the first round, but they were hard fouls, not dirty fouls that put Rose at risk of serious injury. What Bynum does crosses a line, and he's done it multiple times - twice is less than two months. He is a repeat offender and deserves escalating penalties until he stops putting other players at risk of injury.

Of course it's not the first time. Hell, it's the THIRD time Bynum has done the exact same thing. And stop using his age as an excuse. Andrew Bynum has played five seasons in the NBA. He should know by now what's acceptable and what isn't. He was just fined and suspended less than two months ago for doing the exact same thing. He knew it was wrong when he did it, but he did it anyway.

There's just a tiny difference when Bill Laimbeer hits you at a dead run and when Andre Miller does the same thing. The difference? About 100 lbs of muscle.

    Hahahahaha!

Dude, we're Blazer fans. This is a Blazer forum. We don't have to be rational. We think all Laker players are scum.

BoobNoMore's take when it involves a Blazer player committing a cheap shot.
