Great win, no doubt, but let me tell you a true story!

Back in the early to mid 80's NBA finals. Lakers and Celtics. The first game one of them defeated the other one, bad! As much if not more than we beat Miami. The losing team came back and won the series and the title.

I am not saying it will happen this time. Just keeping us/me grounded. One game, three more wins to go and we are in the finals.

Trueblue, I didn't lose my perspective, I've thrown it away.

We're winning in four, maybe five.

Don't think that this is realistic. It will be a tough series. Perhaps the Bulls can win it. Perhaps the Bulls will lose it. Who knows?

    So....Go Bulls! Win Game 2!

Bullsger, you're being too German (if you are German) :-)

By saying that I've thrown out all perspective, I'm denying realism. This is my vision :-)

Of course, my vision means nothing, unless it turns out to be correct, in which case, you should stand in amazement and deeply and humbly apologize :-)

Miami is going to try hard to be a team on Wednesday, but there is already a seed of doubt planted. If we can weather the storm this time around, I think we're good to go. We'll be able to take at least one in Miami, and we'll win it in four or five.

Exactly. I'm just a trembling pessimist trying to compensate for all my anxieties by being a Dr. Pangloss.

Yes, from one perspective, it was only one game.

As I see it, it's two games...specifically, 2 consecutive games of absolutely, positively elite team defense. Unlike most defensive schemes, very little is conceded to the opponent. It's been played by a group of players who have the defensive talent, knowledge and desire to bring this every game, particularly with the longer rest between performances.

From a coaching perspective, I'm not exactly sure what you do against this, particularly when Boozer and Korver are on the bench. It's fine to say that the Heat need to get more ball movement into their offense, but the defense is really designed to not let you run your stuff so you're forced into iso plays.

The Heat's great, great players are going to need to make great, great plays to give themselves a chance. Some of this is likely to happen, but nothing's going to be easy. I've always loved to watch great defense. Honestly, at the key times of the last two games, the Bulls defense has left me in awe. Assuming fair officiating, I can't think of any reason why this will change in game 2.

So Transplant, are you really Charles Barkley?

I admire your restraint, man. I know I'm a nobody, but I feel like Buddy Ryan when he stood before the defense before the Super Bowl against the Pats and said, "Boys, these guys haven't changed anything since we crushed them the last time. Let's get em!"

Physically impossible to be as bad as Barkley at golf, I think.
