Derk Williams could fall to the Cavs at 4 Minny has Love/Beasley/Randolph/Webster Utah has Millsap/Favors/Hayword/Jefferson
Or those players could be traded and they pick Williams. I think you get more trading a proven player than potential? Who knows.
PG: Irving: SG: SF: PF: Hickson C: Valanciunas Not a bad core. They are starting from scratch and they have some assets (Varejao, Sessions, Jamison exp.) to land them a few nice wings.
If there ever was a lesson to be learned about trading picks in the NBA, it can be learned tonight. DO NOT TRADE UNPROTECTED PICKS IF YOU ARE A LOTTO TEAM.
Not sure why they would trade those players for Williams. They're all relatively young and proven players. Going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
I hope so. I really felt bad for Cleveland. It would be nice to top it off with a Nice Sweep on the Heat!
Hmm, might be interesting, wonder if there's anything in the draft that Cho likes? Not sure what Oden's value is or anything, but maybe we pursue something with Cleveland. Oden (re-signed at 9 mill three years) for Jamison/4 Oden would like being close to home, Cleveland would take a gamble but it could pay off bigtime, would be exciting for the fans. Jamison could stretch the floor for the blazers, be alright for a year behind Aldridge. Then package 4/Rudy?/later pick to Minnesota for 2/Webster/? Grab Williams and waive Roy? Trade the #2 for a big man if Memphis has trouble re-signing Gasol? Etc? Do you think Cho's going to want to gut the team, improve on it? Miller/? - go after brooks/Johnson Matthews/Webster/Williams Wallace/Batum Aldridge/Jamison Camby/Aldridge/? (#2 or 4?, project, trade)
Just looking down the teams in the lottery: Brandon Knight, Jimmer, and/or Kemba could all be had I think from any of these teams.
I'm not sure that the Kings need a PG, isn't Evans a PG? Also, I'm not sure the Suns consider Brooks the heir apparent.
His rookie year, ya, Evans seemed to be their PGotF. But this past year, he came apart when he had to actually share the ball. He looked much better on the wings alongside Udrih. I can even see them moving him to the 3 (if they land a PG, and move Thornton to the 2). I've been reading more and watching vids of Brandon Knight, and I really like him. I think WASH @ 6 or DET @ 8 is something we can look at.
Thanks for the correction, I didn't know/forgot about them having Beno and moving Evans to the SG spot
I'm still interested in bringing Brooks here Not a true PG, but I'm not sure it's a huge deal. The guy can get into the lane at will and collapse the defense, and that's where it all starts. He can also shoot the 3 as well and overall is a good scoring option which is something the Blazers need. Miller filled that scoring role a little bit, but Brooks is better at it. That said, I don't think Brooks is a Nate McMillan PG, so talking about it is probably pointless.
