Canzano was talking yesterday about how Cho was pushing for a suspension on B-roy after his game 2 comments, and was overruled by Allen and McMillan. Now says Portland is making Cho do as many interviews as he can. hmmmmmmmm.....
What are we hmmmmmming about? Is he interviewing with other teams, or the local media, and if it's the local media, why are you hmmmming. But I like Cho more after hearing that he wanted to suspend him after those comments, and like PA and Nate (if that's even possible) less after hearing it
From his Twitter: "Blazers trying to book GM Rich Cho for a lineup of local interviews. Are you interested in what he has to say?" "Cho did not return calls or messages seeking comment. Blazers putting him on Courtside next Monday night." "Blazers source: GM Rich Cho pushed for Roy suspension after Game 2 comments. He was met with resistance from McMillan and owner Paul Allen."
e_blazer, again, a rare voice of reason, even Canzano's own tweet simply implies that the idea was floated and nixed. Fortunately!
I'm guessing to explain to fans his rationale and thoughts regarding suspending B-Roy. I know Right? Sometimes it's seriously like going into a public toilet and reading the trash on the walls
For real, Canzano's like the guy at the urinal who's trying to talk to you while taking a leak, DUDE?!?
If true, good for Nate and PA. Cho wasn't here during the dark days and didn't watch as Roy became the face of the franchise this city needed in the worst way. This face of the franchise has been an upstanding citizen and should be given a lot of credit for turning around the image of the Blazers. With everything he has gone through in his career and this year, Roy venting in the playoffs should be cut some slack. Glad the people who has been around to see all this weighed in (if that is the way it went down).
Translation: He din't return my calls, therefore, I'm going to trash his ass using my usual method... The unnamed source. I have made a career making up shit and always attributing it to "an unnamed source". You think by now people would start holding me accountable. I guess you really can fool most of the people most of the time. Even if my unfounded speculation ends up being partially rue, with no real source to quote, I can spin it any way I want. Life is good. BNM
I don't know that I think Roy deserves to get suspended, but if a player (who hadn't been a regular problem child) should have been, then Roy should have been. It doesn't matter to me that he was there during the "dark days"... very few of the players are left from that team, and they shouldn't have to put up with things that are suspension-inducing merely because he used to play for the team when it was really bad. The rumor, though, doesn't really matter to me one way or the other unless it is part of a pattern that has yet to be revealed... and I'm not going to make that leap just yet. Ed O.
Ditto. It sounds to me like Cho has a sense of accountability that he'd like to instill in the team, whereas Allen and Nate seem to be reinforcing a sense of entitlement. At the very least Roy should have been fined (maybe he was and I don't remember?)
