The life and career of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is a journey of glorious highs and unimaginable lows. No matter what you think of him it is clear that Tom Brady is a bona fide superstar, a prolific and public athlete if there ever was one. He is known for what he does off the field as much as what he does on it. But what are the greatest and lowest moments of this modern day Joe Namath? His greatest moment is without doubt Super Bowl XXXVI against the mighty St. Louis Rams where he was the new quarterback of the 14-point underdog New England Patriots. Sure through his career there were greater individual moments, his breaking of records and superhuman games. But this was the moment that crowned him NFL royal; this was his mighty breakthrough into the elite. And this was the game that started the dignified Patriot dynasty. Terrific Tom led his team on his back; with 1:21 and no timeouts left he went to work at his own 15-yard line and led the Patriots through the battlefield and the stifling Rams D all the way to the 31 yard line where Adam Vinatieri hit the winning field goal as time expired. It wasn't just that Tom Brady was named the Super Bowl MVP or that he threw for 145 yards and a touchdown, it was that on that given Sunday a random kid from Michigan captured the nations imagination and became Terrific! But Tom Brady's worse moment happens 7 years later after his amazing Super Bowl win. No, it's not his countless photo shoots that have drawn criticism and laughter from many. Not even the photos with the goats can take away the pure horror of tearing his ACL and MCL in a Week 1 game. After coming of one of the great single season performances, in which he led the Patriots to a 16-0 record and he broke countless records, Tom Brady started the 2008 season with an injury that took him out the whole season. Whenever an athlete misses a season it is a low point in their career and this was no different. This injury could have finished his career. It cost him millions in endorsement deals and he was succumbed to watching his team from the sidelines. The pain of smashing his knee was nothing compared to the dread of leaving his Patriots in the hands of an untested Matt Cassel. But as all great players do Brady bounced back from his injury and reclaimed his spot upon the NFL Pantheon. Just like anyone else the life of Tom Brady is hills and valleys and while he has great moments he also has some he would probably like to forget. These are just a few thoughts, though, so comment what you guys think are the highest and lowest points in Tom Brady's life and career!
I agree that Tom Brady is a good quarterback, he is a 6× Pro Bowl selection (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010) 3× Super Bowl champion (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX) and he holds many records, this article is not meant to put him down it, it is just meant to show that a great quarterback like Brady has good moments and bad moments
i think his highest point was when he threw that touchdown to randy moss in like week 11 of 2007 to go up on the dolphins 35-0 at halftime. i think the lowest point was when he got herpes from giselle
lol but i would argue that his super bowl win introduced him to the NFL and set the stage for greater achievements
