Usually this time of year during draft time there's a list everyday of who were working out at the Practice Facility and short video's and interviews. Is that all starting this week?

The team has no GM, the owner is nailing prositutes and his yacht/cruise ship in the Mediterranean, and you're worried about workouts for the 21st pick?

I know the Blazers are working out Keith Benson soon and later Alec Burks.

Burks is projected to go anywhere from #6 to #13, without question we'll have to trade way up to have a chance.

I have to say I wasn't all that impressed by the dog and pony show they ran through here last year at all. Around 30 some guys of which maybe only 10 were actually projected as draftable players. If they can stick with more quality over sheer quantity that seems like a much more helpful and informative structure for the scouts and decision makers to get their eyes on players and make an honest evaluation. As for the videos and interviews, I could take it or leave it. The only time that really interests me is when the team is picking in the lottery.

if they can afford it, nothing wrong with bringing in all sorts of guys for the scouts to look at, finding that diamond in the rough would be huge

You'll get your wish. Buchanon actually commented on this after Cho got fired. Said they brought in far too many guys last year and that it was a big waste of time and resources. Said they'd scale it way down this year and focus in on 15-20 guys.

Isaiah Thomas is scheduled to workout (6\6)

Darius Morris is rumoured to be another player, as is Jimmer Fredette

I wouldn't be surprised to see Demetri McCamey here for a workout either....

Demtri McCamey couldn't bench press 185 lbs. a single time ... that's not to say that the bench is the most critical athletic measurment for an NBA prospect, but for somebody as thickly built as he is, as old as he is, and the fact that he's not a burner tells me that he's not only slow, but possibly pretty weak and/or has poor workout habits. (nevermind the fact that he's kind of gotten the reputation for being a head-case).

It seems like a player like Andre Miller would of had poor workouts. Can't shoot, slow, not strong and athletic. You just never know.

I am not saying I necessarily like him, but POR brought him in for a workout last year, and apparently have continuing interest in him this year...

Personally I don't think the bench press has much merit, basketball wise, especially once POR trainers got him on a regimen....

But I am intrigued by SEVERAL PG other than him: Brandin Knight (ultra longshot), kemba Walker (longshot), Jimmer Fredette, Reggie Jackson, Darius Morris, Charles Jenkins, Norris Cole, Cory Joseph....

Probably, but we're talking about a difference between players (Miller and Durant for example) who, based on their exploits on the court, were clear cut lottery talents (no matter what their jumping or strength numbers indicated). Most people view McCamey as a borderline prospect and every little negative mark against him is going to hurt a lot more than it does players that dominated in college.

I hope we spend more time trying to trade our draft pick than trying to figure out who can help at the #21 spot.

Yeah, he's a headcase. I hear no more from RoyToy about McCamey after he lambasted me for saying I don't want him because he's a headcase. The guy thinks he's a superstar. He'll be playing in Europe next year.
