My only concern is, will this cut into Sam's brilliant plan for the bike plan?

So if an employee is suffering severe clinical depression because he can't support his lifestyle on his current salary, his health benefits should pay him an additional $2,500 per month because it would obviously cure his depression?

Yeah, I'm depressed if I don't bang hookers 3x a week. Pay for that shit. Otherwise I turn into a fucking weirdo!

I am embarrassed for the city I love. This guy is a total joke, and anyone who voted for him should be forced to fund the sex change plan.

Being in Texas now, I don't get to keep up as well as I'd like on all things Oregon. How is the Kitzhaber doing in his do-over?

If I can't get my dental implant covered by my insurance I'll be damned if my taxes should go to pay for a state worker's sex change!

It's a medical procedure. I don't see why it shouldn't be covered, just as any other agreed to by the doctor and his patient.

There's a difference between being sad because you don't have enough money to blow on drugs, hoes or video games versus someone who has serious clinical depression, bi-polar disorder or anxiety. If the person does have a compulsive disorder that is causing them to overspend then a therapist or psychologist might be able to help them.

Unfortunately many such medical procedures aren't covered.

Taking money away from the city sewers budget to fix city employees personal plumbing, and I mean personal.

He is a national joke. He should have stepped down after the lies and intimidation from the election came to light. But Portland deserves a guy like him for mayor.

As for Kitzy, so far it's a rerun. I think he's a highly competent person, but at a time when Oregon needs new ideas he brings partisan politics as usual.

Frankly, this city and state is in the toilet.

Just found out that medical insurance where I work covers sex change operations.

I have no problem if a private employer wishes to cover gender reassignment procedures. However, public entities have an obligation to be *****rdly with the funds they receive from taxes. Covering sex changes seems to be wasteful.

Anybody here remember Renee Richards? He was a male tennis player who decided to get a sex change operation to play (and hopefully be more successful) on the women's tour. It created quite a stir. The USTA had to create a new event over it all- mixed singles.
