    Unbalanced Trade?

    Would you do it?

Nash is pretty old, but he could definitely be a game-changer for next season.

I think it's too much, but I think it's close.

Nash would be AWESOME on this team....it'd be like having Scottie Pippen here..just the bball IQ would be off the charts. I probably wouldn't though since I like Rudy and Batum is a good trade asset. Nash is too old. We should probably try to get Grant Hill too or something if that works out then.

    "Dwight Jaynes expects ..... "
This is just one mans guess... a man looking to bring eyes to his blog.

Nash is good, but I think that's a little too much and I dont think this would help us win a championship any sooner.

Jaynes did not mention Nash at all. That was Ben.

I know there are many haters, but Dwight has proven to know a bit in the past.

Unfortunately, a trade for Nash doesn't meet what Jaynes says (and I agree with) the Blazers need in return in an unbalanced trade:

Guesses as to whom Jaynes will suggest?

None of those are better PGs than Dre now. I don't understand why that isn't part of the criteria when looking for a PG.

I think you can add Tony Parker to the list. At 29 he's not really young, but he's not ancient either. The Spurs are going to need to shake things up if they don't want to become irrelevant, and that's never been Pop's style.

    I would do it for Chris Paul in a heartbeat.....but N.O. wouldn't.

While I think it's probably too much to give up I understand the rationale. If we have a healthy Oden, Nash would make us an instant championship contender because of his outside shooting ability.

I wonder if Buchanan is going to come out and deny this too. He's been doing that for every other rumor that has come out in the past few weeks.

Nothing to deny. It's just an idea that Ben from BlazersEdge threw out there.

    Re: Unbalanced Trade?

Because Miller is old. If we can get a younger player that is his equal now, then we're going to be better off at the position going into the future.

    Re: Unbalanced Trade?

I would sacrifice Batum for 3 years of Nash upgrades over Miller. I don't know if you guys are properly thinking about what a 50/40/90 PG would do for our offense.

I'm not saying it's a great long-term move, but nothing at all has shown that PA and LM are looking long-term this summer. It's "win now. NO, I mean NOW!" Other than saying he wants a 3 year PG.

    Stockton played until 41.

    Re: Unbalanced Trade?

I'd prefer to keep Miller as a backup, but not for the right player in return. You gotta realize that most players younger than him aren't going to be as good for this team for at least a few years. The players that are exceptions to that are almost unanimously untouchable. Nash is one that may not be though. People don't realize how many different great things Dre does for this team, and how good of a PG he really is.Unfortunately, his biggest weakness, shooting, is something we really need from our PG. Nash is a good fit with that respect.

    Re: Unbalanced Trade?

You have to realize that if for the very real possibility there is no NBA season, Miller walks for nothing.
