Love Andre Miller! BUT........ I would do that deal in a heartbeat. Harris is about 9 years younger right? He can play, hope he stays healthy.

PapaG is kicking up so much dust right now, trying to hide in a cloud of misdirection and bullshit.

So you think the Blazers would have been more successful with Bayless as our starting PG over Miller.

I view Bayless as a change of pace 9th man in this league. He can't shoot the long ball as good as Miller, which is quite sad since that's Andre's biggest fault. He can't initiate a teams offense, so he'll need to play the Jason Terry role of combo guard off the bench. So he'll be a Jason Terry that can't shoot. Needless to say I'm quite happy we flipped him into a pick.

In 2010, without the Camby trade I think the Blazers would've had a worse record but just barely made the playoffs. Subtracting Miller for the entire 2009-2010 or 2010-2011 season without any replacement I think we would've just barely missed the playoffs in both years. Camby and Miller were both valuable members to the team, they both contributed beyond the scrubs who would've got minutes in their place. Obviously neither one is a star, so the team should be open to upgrades. But if no upgraders are available those guys can help the team win a few more games.

My thought is because he stinks at perimeter defense and can't shoot, which allows teams to sag as a series continues. This inhibits a team's ability to score easy points , and the other PG gets open looks.

I've posted that many times. Is this the first time you've paid attention to it? You've asked me before.

Hahaha okay. It's almost midnight and you're just trying to start shit. It's obvious in the original question that I was asking about the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons, but you're just playing dumb and avoiding the question. Good for you.

Isn't his shooting priced into his stats already? We're trying to figure out why his teams are unsuccessful despite his quite good stats.

His defense could certainly detract from a team's success, but shouldn't that hurt his teams in the regular season too? Or do you feel he's a regular season loser too? I was under the impression you thought he was basically a failure specific to the playoffs. If you just think he's a bad player at all times, that's different.

I always read your posts. I don't recall you answering this question before, though I may just be forgetting.

No, I'm serious. The Blazer made the playoffs without Andre Miller. Your question is stupid and illogical, plus you already said that wihout the Camby trade, Miller's team doesn't make the playoffs.

I didn't avoid anything, other than answering a yes/no question. Yet, you answered your own question when you answered my yes/no question about Camby.

The Blazers made the playoffs without Brandon Roy. That guy never made a difference either. I didn't know that was your feeling about Roy.

Now who's Mr. DOS, Mr. DOS?

Miller has a career playoff PER of 16.1 with a usage rate of 24. That's bad, IMO, and his team results for having such a ball-dominating PG reflect my opinion. His regular season numbers are an 18.1 PER with a 21 USG rate.

He plays worse in the playoffs, yet hogs the ball more.

Plus, in 39 playoff games, he has an Ortg of 104, with a Drtg of 111. Regular season, he's a 110 Ortg, and a 108 Drtg.

He's a lesser player in the playoffs.

They made the playoffs in 2009-2010 without Andre Miller? Man... I must be fuzzy on my history.

But the Camby trade DID happen... what does that have to do with my question?

How did I answer my own question? I didn't ask you if the Blazers would have made the playoffs without Andre Miller and Marcus Camby. I asked you if they would have made the playoffs without Andre Miller, which you have spent the last hour or so dodging.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. You've successfully talked in circles for a couple hours and I'm bored with you.

My bad, Didn't read the whole thread. Just saw at the top somebody said Dre and stuff for Harris and stuff. Thought that was the rumor.

You seem to be fuzzy on a lot of things. I posted that the Blazers made the playoffs prior to Miller being a Blazer.

It adds nuance to it. A variable, which points out how dumb your yes/no question was.

It's a dumb question. The Blazers made the playoffs the season before Miller arrived. I have no idea what Miller's arrival meant, other than the team did make the playoffs.

    LOL

Yeah, I'm talking in circles. Have the Blazers exercised their option on Miller yet?

This thread is a gold mine for my future signatures.
    -------------
That's exactly what I said. Re-read it now that I edited it.

I'm not smearing Miller, I'm just brainstorming all possible theories on his defects.

There you go, avoiding the question again. You must play for the Los Angeles Dodgers, live in Dodge City, drive a Dodge Ram, and love dodge ball.

I did answer your question. It was a stupid question that has no definitive answer, though. You may consider this your answer or that your answer.

You think it's a stupid question because it doesn't support your previous opinion. You call others' stuff subjective and therefore invalid opinions. You're better. You provide only facts and can't help it if they're odd and troubling.

How is this a yes/no question? I feel like I'm in Crazy Town. I'm sure you'd agree on the absurdity of your Yes/No ultimatum if it were anyone but me pointing it out.

I didn't avoid anything, other than not answering a yes/no question. Yet, you answered your own question when you answered my yes/no question about Camby.

Using deductive reasoning, by this train of thought we find that this thread is a thought experiment.

The fuzzy nuance adds a variable to point out how dumb your yes/no question was.

Okay, so you think the Blazers would have made the playoffs without Miller when he was our best player. Gotcha. I'll keep that in mind.

Here is the solid veteran Minstrel keeping you afloat, throwing out lifesavers, yet still you flail to find a point.

Refusing to answer the question makes you look dumb, but I understand because answering it would too.

It's a dumb question, and can't be answered. Have you recently been kicked in the head?

You've asked that before and I've answered many times. Is this the first time you've paid attention?

I'm leaving a memo to your helpers that you need help today.

Hahaha okay. It's almost midnight and you're just trying to start shit. You must be a riot at noon.

Because we seem to have started to randomly say things in threads, I submit the following.

Last night, I had a dream I was driving to a secret location (it was like a school or abandoned warehouse), to do some nefarious..um..solo-time activities. However, where I parked I noticed the car of a friend of mine. And he was selling joints in green paper (almost a sea-foam teal colored paper). He spotted me and came over and offered me a free sample. And even though I said no thanks, he put it in my car. Then I drove away and tried to find the joint and throw it out..but then I was being followed by a cop. So I had to manipulate my gear-shift boot, so I could open it up and drop the joint through the boot and down towards the ground.

I think I was in the sun too much yesterday.
