Offer the QO the Greg Oden. They said this issue would be addressed after the draft. How soon do they offer him the QO? Do they even offer it to him?

They will try and take care of him- I have no doubt at all.

They have until the 30th. I think it makes sense to wait until the 30th. Not a sign of disrespect to greg. If he blows out his knee tomorrow, and we offered it today, we'd have half the board bitching about how our front office bungled it by not waiting.

Is he even running now? Latest I heard was that he couldn't even work out basketball wise until near Christmas.

I can't believe people have faith in our front office.

I hope they do the right thing but until it happens, its not a done deal.

I think its going to take a few days because they want to offer him both the QO and a deal they expect him to take at the same time.

    From Oregonian

I guess they're thinking hard about the decisions.

I'm guessing Greg is a "yes," Williams is a "probable," Armon and Babbitt should be a "no," but will probably be a "yes" and finally it's buh-bye Patty Cakes.

You mean a six year max QO? LOL, that would be hilarious.

Buchanan on the BFT said that the team already discussed what to do about GO, and that they will just hold one last meeting this week and we will know what's going on soon.

Said they've nearly reached a decision a few weeks ago, and waited for the draft to be over before making it official.

Wait aren't Babbit/Williams/Armon on contract for next season with team options after that? I don't think we keep Patty and I Greg won't get his QO and a contract offer tell 29th or 30th I bet.

It will most likely be 6/29 as most QOs are.

Babbitt and Williams should be, but there are option years that must be picked up (if the Blazers wish to do so), Armon I'm not 100% sure about his contract details

By his own admission, Greg isn't very good at basketball, so we probably shouldn't offer him a contract :devilwink:
