Re: What's Up with Tanguy? I actually think this is pretty big news? He should be ineligable to draft, so Portland should be able to get some sort of compensation from someone? Another pick? Cash? Something?
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? A future second rounder that we then send to Denver wouldn't be bad so we can keep ours for next year. I'm never as excited about the second round as I am the first round(who is?) but second rounders can become decent role players.
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? But why? Can you not draft 27 year-olds? Or is there a rule that says if you tell a lie you can't be drafted? barfo
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? Ok. It's not clear to me that makes him ineligible, but maybe it does. Are you saying that even if the blazers really wanted to keep his 27-year-old butt, the league would not allow it? barfo
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? I think we should send hairpiece on the road to find this guy's birth certificate. Who is it we are talking about, again?
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? Does no one recognize Steve Rosenberry? Seriously, this guy is our Assistant GM. The dude is George Hamilton on steroids.
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? Be happy Kahn isn't the Blazers GM. http://minnesota.sbnation.com/minne...346/tanguy-ngombo-age-timberwolves-draft-pick Embarrassing.
Re: What's Up with Tanguy? Except they didn't draft him. Dallas traded that pick to us, and selected him. We were then going to trade that pick to Minnesota
mboko ubunda Or whatever his name is, thought I heard Mike Rice just say on 750am that there are reborts he might be 27!
Re: mboko ubunda Are you talking about Biyombo? I posted yesterday that I think he's closer to 23 than to 18. Him being 25+ wouldn't surprise me, though.
Re: mboko ubunda If true, then he's automatically a free agent because he's been draft eligible since age 22 ... and we hold no rights over him whatsoever.
Re: mboko ubunda Who are we talking about here? Reports today are saying Biyombo is 26 years-old. Is this about the 2nd-round guy that will never play in the NBA?
Re: mboko ubunda I'm talking about the 57th pick guy from Dallas, Ngombo (sic?). Biyombo apparently has X-rays which "prove" that his long bones haven't fused together completely ... meaning he's closer to 18-19 than 26.
