I enjoy trivia contests, especially Blazers but considering that we may not have a season or at least a full season this seems rather underwhelming to me.
How about they fix the CNS clusterfuck? seriously though, it's like the team has no idea how to run PR stuff. Ooh boy, I get a chance to win 10 bucks off something I wasn't going to buy in the first place! Wooo!
I'm not sure that it's legal to discriminate against people who do not live in "Oregon or SW Washington" in a contest like this. Not that it's a great series of prizes, anyway, but... Ed O.
I like the way they have a $25 minimum. They can't just let you buy a $10 trinket for free. It's almost Fall--they must be trying to downsize the T-shirt inventory.
They can do anything they want, place of residence is not a protected status, therefore it can not be used in a discrimination claim. They also filter single game playoff ticket sales over the phone via incoming area code, giving priority to 360, 503, and 971
Atleast they let everyone know beforehand it was a crappy prize and did not drop it from the blimp. I am still mad about getting a coupon for a free appetizer with purchase of an entree from Typhoon or that crappy red rally towel from Fred Meyer.
better than the winterhawks game i was at where they dropped coupons for buy one get one on gold n' soft margarine.
Are the Blazers even allowed to sell anything with a player's name on it during the lockout? So I can get $10 off of a Mike Barrett and Mike Rice t-shirt.
According to the Fan Shop website, you can buy jerseys, t-shirts, the whole sha-bang. http://www.blazersfanshop.com/ As for only allowing people in Oregon & SW WA winning, I bet it has to do with NBA marketing rules and regulations. The Bucks are doing a similar promotion and winners there have to be within a 75 mile radius.
