No one's watching France vs. Greece?

This is a huge game. Greece up 4 at the half. Nic has disappeared, with only 2 pts in 15 mins.

Finally, Nic takes a shot and hits. Get more aggressive!

Parker has lost all his confidence seemingly.

I'm not watching it. It's not the NBA and it's not the Blazers, so... I don't really care.

Thanks for posting that link. Really enjoyed seeing Batum at the end coming up with a key stop and a couple clutch shots.

Yeah: Parker was great at the beginning of the fourth and then Batum basically took over. Particularly encouraging to see him hit that jumper off a curl at a vital juncture. If he could hit that consistently, we'd be golden.

Russia vs. France next. I'm going to have to go with Russia this time: David Blatt is some kind of coaching genius. Past Blazer forwards defeat present. I wonder where Kirilenko ends up, given that he's a FA...

Holy shit. Macedonia is winning at the half against Spain. WTF is going on?

Bo McCaleb might have legit NBA talent.

MIGHT!? He's already better than most of the backup PGs in the league. The reason he's not already there is probably because he's a Nate Robinson, pint-sized "combo" guard. But he's bigger than Robinson and more of a defender. And he's clearly a winner: not only because of Macedonia (who actually have decent-ish players other than him, even if they all look like bouncers) but both his past two Euro teams have made the final four. But he'll probably be a Marcus Brown/J.R. Holden type: a legend in Europe but forgotten over here. Except in New Orleans.

The third quarter is the one that Spain has been destroying teams in. Past couple of games they've outscored their opponent by about 20 in the third. So we shall see. If you let Macedonia hang around, they'll bite you in the ass (just ask Lithuania - the last team to beat a full Spanish team).

    Alright, he's legit.

He's pulling the same moves that TP does. Spain looks to be in disbelief. JCN is the only one playing.

Damn that Navarro. He won't let Spain lose. Having said that, at last he missed one.

Pero Antic is awesome. Ilievski's not bad either.

Fucking hell, Navarro has 29 at the end of the third. If it wasn't for him, Macedonia would have this in the bag.

A bigger mystery is how he manages to have no chin AND a double chin at the same time.

Watching Spain makes me happy in one respect: Ibaka may be stellar on defense, but he has hands of stone. He's getting fewer minutes as the tournament goes on.

Navarro has more scoring talent than any other living player. I mean look at him: he's slow, short and unathletic. Just about every kid in your local gym could take him off the dribble (which is why he'd never get PT in the NBA). But he just cannot be stopped.

Spain wins. Yawn. Here's hoping Russia can repeat the upset they pulled a few years back. But I don't think so: the Gasol twins are just brutal and if Navarro's on like today...
