It sure didn't look like they touched gloves. It was a cheap shot and that's just trying to justify the move.

I agree. I don't think it was a cheap shot. If the ref doesn't more you at arms length, then keep your gloves up.

Yeah, not sure that's a cheap shot. I can see why people are upset over it, but dude head butted the other guy. I'm not a fan of Mayweather, but I don't blame him for knocking the guy on his ass.

if the Lakers decide not to play defense, you don't want the Blazers to score on them?

that headbutt was definitely a cheap shot, though. I just saw the interview, Ortiz says Floyd moves into him, which is nonsense.

good point. Remember (well, maybe not you) when Patty Mills ran into a hard screen by that one player on the Mavs?

Same thing. If you're not ready or paying attention, it's not the other guys fault you got dinged.

Yes, you have to protect yourself at all cost, yes it was a cheap shot. The ref looked dazed and confused as well.

He didn't try to touch gloves, he was going in for a hug. Mayweather should be commended for waiting as long as he did before kicking his ass

Mayweather has the biggest ego in pro sports. He needs to be brought down a peg or two. There's only one guy in his weight class that can kick his ass and he knows it - it's the reason why he's dodging him:

Ref wasn't looking at fighters, he was talking to the judges. I don't think Ortiz thought the fight was resumed, he looked confused. I guess technically it was a win, but Floyd fans are celebrating like it was some major accomplishment, which it wasn't. He did not win on his technical boxing skill, but through exploiting a confusing situation. If that's how Floyd wants to win his matches, so be it. He is a cheap shot artist. Ortiz got the point deducted for his headbutt and was scolded by the ref. Mayweather just proves once again he's a bitch. He proved it before the fight, he proved it during the fight and he proved it after the fight going after an 80 year old man like he did.

I'm a Floyd fan and I don't think it was a major accomplishment.it was a really dumb move by Ortiz. There is no major accomplishment left for Mayweather, outside of Manny.
