Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News Honestly I'm not really worried about getting running backs at this point... We've got DAT for at least one or two more years, so it's no big deal.
Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News DAT for at least two more years since he is a True Freshman But Running Back Depth never hurts. I would love one or two more quality Backs to Redshirt next year. Next year we are looking at DAT, Kenjon (who hasnt been the most durable) and Carson, and Ford. We could be a couple of tackles away from being down to 2 scholarship backs. I'm hoping that Tyner, and Marshall both in this class isnt too much to ask
Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News not sure if I missed it or not, but DJ Foster Ath from Arizona is scheduled for an OV on 10/14 per rivals http://rivals.yahoo.com/okvarsity/football/recruiting/player-D.J.-Foster-103728
track... he's an elite sprinter you're right that RB talent seems great. I'm not worried about attracting more talent as guys move on as top HS kids obviously are noticing the Ducks leading the Pac 10 in rushing the past 4 years under Chip. That plus winning makes for an attractive destination. Tyner is just a Jr. in HS. Also, DJ Foster is being recruited as a RB by some but as a WR by the Ducks STOMP
Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News well thank you for that. That at least would further our chances I would hope of landing both Marshall and Tyner
Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News right it has to be at least two beyond this one. He cant leave after his true Soph year. Unless rules have changed and I didnt note that?
Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News ahhh dove deeper into your question and yes Fitzgerald went after his sophomore year and he didnt RedShirt, he was granted nfl eligibility cause he attended a 5th year of high school. The rule says you have to be at least 3 years out of your senior year of high school, but I guess it didnt specify which "senior year" http://www.nytimes.com/2004/02/06/s...-eligibility-to-fitzgerald-pitt-receiver.html

Re: 2012 Commits and Recruiting News If you had 10 somewhat realistic gets who would you put down? Very good point in this article was made... A good portion of our LB talent will be gone in 2 years or less, in Clay, Kaddu, Alonzo, and Stuckey. Would love to fill that Corps up in the next year or two.
not sure about all 10 but Ken Ekanem would be one of them. He recently said Oregon is in his top 3 and will get an official visit for sure. He's interested in studying sports marketing STOMP
4* WR Dwayne Stanford of Ohio has scheduled an official for November (thats next month Wheels) 19th... thats USC weekend. He's being sold that he could be the next Tuinai. Chatter is that his stud teammate and Ohio State verbal commit DE Adolphus Washington will be along.
