The players launched their "#LETUSPLAY" campaign over on Twitter.

It's just so #LAME, as if they have no power in this situation. They won on the hard cap issue and now don't want to budge on the 53% stance. SMH

It's hilarious that pretty much all of the responses to these tweets are people calling them out on their greed. If they did this to inspire sympathy from the fans, it failed miserably.

While I am more on the side of the players than the owners, the "Let us play" idea is so blatantly disingenuous that it can't help but backfire. I suggest "don't kill a good thing" as an alternative.

All key parties are here. Stern and Silver strode up the street and into the hotel moments ago, shortly after union officials.

If the PR spin battle between the NBA and Union were a game, it would be NBA 176, Union 3. They are that much better at it.

#NBA lockout version of you can't make this up: Gregg Popovich just happened upon the street where meetings are taking place.

Pop was on a run, wearing a sweaty T-shirt, and joked, "I never would've turned down this street if i'd know you guys were here."

Mr Anthony is scheduled to make 18.5 million dollars this season. To put that into perspective, someone would need to work from the age of 25 to the age of 65 and average 462,500.00 each year to make as much as Camelo "I feel y'all pain" Anthony will make this season.

Stop being so fucking greedy and our "pain" goes away.

The same could be said to the owners. It all comes down to a matter of 4mil/ team / season. You think that really matters to the owners whose net worth is is in the 9-11 digit range.

The NBA is reporting on its website that it's nearing an agreement with NBPA on a new, reduced version of mid-level exception.

The mid-level exception is one part of system elements -- including luxury tax on salary cap, Bird Rights, etc. -- that must be agreed on.

I am very pro owner, so I don't think the same could be said. The owners charge what the people will pay. If you don't like the prices, don't go. The owners put up most all of the risk of their own money. They should ABSOLUTELY make the lion' sshare of the profit
