I just saw a commercial for the XXL Chalupa from Taco Bell. Looked pretty good..........that is, for a petroleum-based product. Anyway, I don't eat much fast-food at all, but was wondering what's good out there.
Yeah, it seems like they also like to promote local in-season produce......fresh onion rings, fired asparagus spears, fruit shakes, strawberry shortcake, etc.
Indeed. Like it a lot. It was the one in Vancouver. Haven't been to one since I split with the wife, though.
I pass a Skipper's on 82nd quite often. I used to work for them in my early-20's. The fish was cut/battered daily. Not too bad......for cod. I've been tempted many times to stop in.....just haven't as of yet.
The one in Vancouver did a very good job of insuring the food was fresh. I suppose they just cooked smaller amounts at a time. Anyway, I've also been to very poor outlets, as well.
I brought up Panda Express because I remember your post from back then. Panda Express is not one of my favorites, but is on my list of fast foods. There is an El Pollo Loco near by that is good and reasonably healthy. Of course when I cave and decide to get a burger (often) Five Guys are popping up like flies on the westside (3 within 10 tens minutes)
Five Guys fries are good, but they go limp rather quick. (<-- here's where barfo rushes in with the quit-witted quip.)
I've become more of a fan of tater tots over fries. That bar & grill in Milwaukie that you and I periodically go to have the best, IMO.
