I hadn't thought about Chucklaw in a while. Good times.

We need a legit big man. Not Trout.

If the MLE still exists, we should go hard after Landry or Hayes.

Travis Outlaw taking minutes away from Gerald Wallace and Nicolas Batum would be a crime against basketball.

The only reason he would is because the coaching staff let him

    Joel. Freeland.

6'11' 250 lbs. and rapidly developing.

Now, can we convince him to come over to a rudderless ship?

Which is why I said at the right price. I am not comfortable with GW playing extended minutes at the 4. With Batum providing relief at the 3 and 2, he would not be impacted.

Agree a big man should be our top priority, but getting Landry at the MLE seems like a major reach to me. He should command more on the open market. Hayes would be a solid option, but would want to add some scoring on the second unit if he were signed.

We gave the Mavs about as much trouble in the playoffs as anybody with very little help from the bench big men. It would have been interesting if T Law would have been with us for the series. Certainly could not have been worse than Earl Barron.

I think legit is the key word here. Freeland is an above average player in Euro ball. That makes him below average in the NBA, most likely

I do not think convincing him is going to be a problem. Have you seen enough of him to say he is truly ready? I would love it if he were, but honestly have not seen enough of him to speculate.

I would prefer Hayes to Landry as he can defend the C very well and IMO is a better fit with LMA.

Hayes would be better than Landry for me too. I think the reason people mention Landry is someone, maybe Landry himself, mentioned Portland as a possible destination

All joking aside, John, I hope this gets settled soon and you don't have to stress about money.

Landry and LA would be absolute hell for a team to deal with in the 4th quarter. Landry's ability to get to the line late in the game is among tops in the league and he rebounds well. LA's inside out game would be a perfect match. With Hayes, there would be one less person that could score and the defense would not improve as drastically.

Thanks man. I've said before, I'm not looking for sympathy around here. I am a basketball/Blazers junkie who happens to get paid for working at the games. I love coming on here to talk hoops/smack! It is taking a toll. It's to a point now where my wife (who has never read an article about sports herself) is sending me up to the minute updates! Praying this gets done soon. I have no work scheduled past Dec. 1st!
