the propaganda dept hasn't kept the media from ignoring that the owners' original offer was 43, then they brought 47% to the table with the mediator, and when it was 47/53 they were the ones who proposed 50/50 to get the season started on time. (That's when the players walked out) If that's the case (which could just be negotiating 101), I could see how Jordan, Allen et. al. would be pissed that they've had to go up 9% just to get the players to the table (the players have vowed 52%), and how going higher than 50% is caving.
