Why exactly isn't Obama a clown? Or a flip flipper? First he was for a public option, then he was against it. Gitmo's still open for business. The list is pretty long. Why is Bachmann any less qualified than Hillary or Obama? I think a little focus on the other side doesn't do them any favors, either.
He doesn't wear giant shoes, or paint his face, or wear a red plastic nose. You could make the same charge against anyone who as served as president. Nobody ever fulfills all their campaign promises. What makes Romney a 'flip flipper' is that he says different things to different audiences apparently for the sole purpose of getting elected. That's different than finding out that closing Gitmo is more difficult than imagined. Both Hillary and Obama were Senators. Bachmann's highest elected office is Representative, generally considered a lower office, and less of a qualification for President, since Reps rarely get elected President (Garfield). But then, this thread is about Newt. Not Barney, not Barack. Newt. barfo
Obama did and still does say what he thinks the crowd wants to hear. He was elected Senator, but didn't "senate" much. And in post #13, you changed the subject from "Newt" to "all the options you have." Well, your options aren't so hot, either.
Already stipulated in post #29. I'm not too worried about your opinion of my options. You represent the fringe of the fringe of the fringe. barfo
New poll. Newt in lead. http://www.latimes.com/news/politic...es - Politics)&utm_content=Google Feedfetcher
Newt's not-very-well-thought-out plan would put the current janitors (the fathers of those poor elementary school kids) out of work and onto unemployment, which would cost the taxpayers even more and teach the kids that they have no future in this society.
I think some people don't see cost effective and long term cost effective issues very clear. The more we educate a populace, the better we are as a society.
There ya go, thinking downward again, MARIS. I mean, just think, when I was a paperboy of a mere 12-years-old, I was putting GROWN MEN out of work! The shame of it all!!
you are aware that you're comparing different job types, right? grown men tend to not have paper routes (although there are adults who do paper delivery), whereas adults tend to be the janitors. Not only because there are a lot of physical labor involved, there are chemicals and hazardous materials involved. When was the last time you saw a kid doing a janitor job? Never. When was the last time I saw a kid doing a paper route? Well, not for a long time actually. But you're making a comparison that isn't really accurate.
I was being factetious as all get-out. Having kids help out around their respective schools - doing some various janitorial duties as to help them gain some pride and appreciation, certainly isn't gonna kill the janitorial industry. The sky's the limit as to how they might be able to contribute. Yeesh, julius!
you gotta stop being semi joking when I'm thinking you're semi serious! otherwise we'll be running in a semi circle!
