What a crazy world we live in. The Clippers, Grizzlies, T-Wolves and Warriors could all be legit playoff caliber teams in the same year (won't happen, but still a possibility).

The Spurs have decided to use the amnesty clause on contract of Richard Jefferson, league sources tell Y! Sports. He has 3 years, $30M left.

    WojYahooNBA
Spurs are aggressively in the market for a starting small forward, and amnesty allows them to use full mid-level exception of $5M per year.

    WojYahooNBA
Spurs primary target has been Caron Butler, who met w/ them today. However, they've been on phone with agents discussing several options.

ESPN reports that talks between the Mavs and the 6-11 free agent "are essentially frozen." The reason is because Dallas is "determined to maintain as much payroll flexibility as possible for the summer of 2012, even if it means losing" Chandler the site notes.

Ya, I think he will go elsewhere, so they can try to land Deron Williams

of all those rumors, I think NOH gets the most value from the Clips.

I think the Warriors are the ones that have offered though, right?

I don't think that Clip rumor is a true one, most likely put out by Paul's agent. If the clippers had offered that, the deal would be done already.

I was going off of Fez's post...I haven't heard any team say definitively that they've made an offer. Someone correct me if that's not the case. Even the Rondo-for-CP3 one was shot down by Ainge, right?

I think Portland proved it is better not to trade "the greatest trade chip in history" when they held on to RLEC.

Glad to hear that its sound more and more like the Lakers will not get Chris Paul and Dwight. I would've been enraged if that happened! But trading Paul to GS, BOS, LAC, HOU could give New Orleans some nice pieces to begin the rebuilding process. With the NBA owning the Hornets I’d imagine there would be crazy backlash if somehow the Lakers got CP3 for peanuts.

Ok, so if Dwight bolts to LA I’d assume they have to give up Bynum, since it doesn’t make sense to pair him with Howard, and one of Odom or Gasol. Then the Lakers would no longer have Odom coming off the bench, he’d either be starting or out of town. The length of the Lakers was a matchup nightmare the last 4 years and along with Kobe the reason they won championships. Kobe now has a body closer to Roy then to Lebron or Wade, he can’t practice during the season and really struggled down the stretch. Watching Kobe in the playoff he didn’t attach the rim at all any longer, he’s just a jump shooter. Yes he’s a very dangerous jump shooter but he’s nothing like he was 6 years ago when he scored 80 points.

Kobe is going to regress every season from here on out. So yes the Lakers probably end up with the best big man in the game but it might not translate to a single championship at all in the next 8 seasons. They will be in the luxury tax and not have the full mid-level, so all they can add will be lower tier free agents that want to live in LA. For any NBA fan who is sick of the Lakers seemingly being entitled to the elite players the direction of CP3 rumors are a welcome blessing.

Have you ever heard a team directly say they've made any trade offer?

As the dominoes fall, a Boston rental of CP3 is looking more and more likely. Boston believes Rondo isn't adding much value after big 3 go

Odd to me that Humphries' name has not been mentioned at all. Not by us, but just in general. Seems like he got a lot of press right before the offseason as someone who would get a good deal. Now, nobody talking about him.

The Blazers, even with no GM, have been extremely quiet and inactive.
