I gave this game another try, playing for about 45 min., and I still can't stand the gameplay and movement of the characters. I don't know if any of you played COD3 but the movement of this game and COD3 are very close.

Before this game was released I read good things about the new Frostbite ll engine but it's basically the same thing.

I will say that the sound of the guns are a lot better than MW2 and Black Ops. But other than that, I don't think I'll be buying this game.

I played the BF3 betta for about an hour with my son. I thought it was pretty fun. We'll probably buy it... mainly because of the vehicle factor. But one thing that still pisses me off about EA games is their lame age restrictions for online multiplayer. They would probably sell millions more copys if they didnt have that.

My kids have already pre-ordered MW3 and are counting down the days until it arrives. They love MW and COD far more than any other game.

I think so, but cant say for sure. We have one of them, but my kids never played it much since they cant play online. I've heard they are really good.

We have both games. My oldest son likes BF3 much better... my youngest likes MW3. My oldest likes BF3 because it offers new/different features and is very challenging. He isnt impressed with MW3 because it doesnt seem like much of an improvement over the previous versions. His big complaint about BF3 is that he has to use my profile to play online multiplayer because of EA's ridiculous age restriciton. My youngest likes MW3 because its easier and he's familiar with it and he is easily influenced by all the hype. I havent played MW3, just watched my sons play it. I do agree with my oldest that it doesnt seem to offer anything new and exciting over previous versions. I have played BF3 a little and really like it. The campaign is fun and multiplayer is very realistic, but I suck at it. My personal favorite right now is still Black Ops.

so I got MW3 as my free game for buying two other games from Gamestop. I'm gonna give it more time, but last night I played it and Fvck this game so far! I'm really hoping it was just an anomaly, but it was one giant ass camp-fest. Its kinda crazy how much the game is geared towards camping though with heartbeat sensors, and kill streaks that people are trying to freak out over. But like I said I'm gonna try and give it more than 3 hours lol.

One last complaint though, WTF is up with Sniping in this. How many one shot kills from 80 yards away that hit me in the calf. Its like a more camping version of the original 1887 Dual Wield Shotgun in MW2 before they were nerfed.

Help me fall in love with this game Fez!

I rented it on the ps3 not very long after it came out. Felt like an expansion pack and was soon sent back, end of story. Can't believe so many people are still so addicted to it.

My kids want both battlefield and COD. Not sure if I should get both or just 1. We also don't have xbox live because I don't want then to hear the language some people use. I have heard the only reason to get them is for multi player, and that single player sucks

The single player of both games are very short, so they probably aren't worth full price for just those. There is cursing in them as well, so if that is a problem they are probably both a no go.

Not in game cursing. Xbox live cursing. I don't need some stranger in another state corrupting my kids. That's my job, damnit

    Makes sense

If They haven't played the one i'm linking, you may as well start them off with it, it's the first in the "Modern Warfare" series, and probably the best Call of Duty game.

I love MW3 better than any other COD game, even COD4.

The maps are awesome and are totally different than any other COD game.

Hardcore Kill Confirm is my favorite so far.

Btw, the next map pack will include maps from MW2 and COD4:

    Highrise
    Crossfire

You can set it up so they can only chat live with their "friends"... and you can set it up so you have to approve their "friend requests".
If you dont have headphones plugged in, you dont hear much of the people talking.

Get the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the ps3! Apparently you can co-op the psp game included in the pack.

I actually asked and they didnt have it lol. I took home Uncharted 3, MW3, and Assasins Creed Revelations even though I'm not ready to play that game. I really searched for that MGS Collection though lol
