    The report is he wasn't following the rehab procedure. That means he just doesn't care. Roy and Yao want to come back and tried hard to. So far, he has proven he hasnt

    Yes, let's talk about Amar'e. How Amar'e came back too soon, put too much pressure and compensated with his other leg and played three games before being shut down again. A sound move.

    You'll remember Greg had his microfracture surgery 13 months ago, so that requires another 5 months until it is 1.5 years. He was doing 5 on 5 less than a year after his first microfracture (hey, remember that, this wasn't his first), and his doctor for this one gave him an 18 month recovery schedule. Shockingly, November 2010 to December 2011 is not 18 months.

    Additionally, let us recall two other items: Second microfracture was on his knee that was also still recovering from having its patella broken, and his doctors up until this point have said he is right on schedule.

    So unless you want Greg to randomly develop mutant genes that allow him to go massively ahead of schedule to appease you, I don't know what you want. For people here to childishly suggest he went out last night in a drunken stupor and celebrated in LA (hey, he was in Colorado and then flew to Portland) without any evidence is irresponsible and defamatory.

    Greg is a good kid who has done everything the organization has asked him, they all say he is a tireless worker who hits rehab as hard as he is able. I'm really sorry some of you are upset that waaaaah we're really fucking cursed and oh god this must be Greg's fault because fuck him of course he isn't trying hard enough (hey, everyone else says he's a really hard worker but we'll make our own reality to fit our pity party) and I bet he's actually sabotaging himself so he can't earn tens of millions of dollars in contract and endorsements.

    Because clearly, that is the most logical theory and explanation.

    What the fucking fuck.

    Wow, that's eerie. I know that I said some time in here or on Blazer chat in April of 2010 during the Phoenix series that Roy was going to be finished in two years and everyone thought I was crazy. Then I start buying into the hype. UGh... the life of a Blazers fan is not an easy one.

    ok. let's talk about the wording here:

    The contract agreed upon today comes after both sides mutually agreed to negotiate a new deal that is independent of the qualifying offer.


    So....is there no Qualifying Offer, just a one year deal? Or is it the QO + a new deal. Is he still an UFA at the end of the season?

    i do agree that anyone who was "banking" on oden this year was really drinking the kool-aid. to me it's not so much about this year being lost but the thoughts of having a "dynasty." that was dying a slow death already, but today it was taken off of life support and the reality is sinking in.

    I don't believe we have the full MLE, since Roy's contract is on the books until April we only have the mini-MLE.

    Ug maybe I'm overreacting, but I'm a little upset about Roy. Now learning of this shit? Btw, yes Oden and brass can actually renegotiate a multiyear contract. The qo is basically mutually off the table.

    Unless I am totally mind-blocking a comment, there is no words on him not following rehab procedure. Larry Miller only says he has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation.

    As with the report from Quick, unless I am totally mindblocking something, there is no word that Greg did not follow the proper procedure. Rather, he has just suffered a setback. A setback does not mean someone did something wrong, it just means something went wrong.
