Crawford more than capable of playing backup PG.

Crawford will likely get some good burn there.

I think Nolan Smith is going to get some minutes early in the season as well. Nate seems pretty high on his BB IQ and skillset.

This is what makes Crawford's signing somewhat interesting. We don't really need another wing that can't help with PG duties. Crawford should be able to help at both positions.

I really like Nolan as well. I think our rookies, though in a definite numbers crunch on the wings, should still get some good minutes just because of the compressed season.

Thats what people said about Babbit at the start of last season.

If the rookies deserve PT they'll get it by earning it. I don't like the idea of handing undeserving players time on the court in the hope it magically transforms them into a competent NBA player.

I was one of the Babbitt supporter's I enjoy watching rookies develop in a backup role if I think. They have some talent. It's more then that for me though and that's that I just don't like Crawfords game.

Sweet . . . and I really don't know how much he will add. But here is what I like:

    1) A player choose less money to play in Ptd. Usually it takes PA outbidding all otehr teams or PA willing to take on a bad contract to get a decent player here

    2) it show PA is not entirely in the tear it down and and rebuild mode. Instead of takling on a bunch of young players, lettting them play and see who emerges, he wants proven players in hopes of this team getting better now

    3) We got him on the cheap . . . I know that is the same as 1, but Indy offered him same deal he said no, Sac offered him more than we did . . . so at least two other GMs think he is worth the money (and no doubt NYK would offer 5 mil per year if they had it).

Now can we steal Landry away . . . do we have another 5 million per year for 4 years to offer?

I'm excited for this season now. Perhaps LMA will not be run into the ground now that we have some scoring off the bench. I also hope Nate gives Chris Johnson more PT, I have high hopes for him too. Next season, we'll bring Freeland over to replace Camby!

    Felton/Crawford/Smith
    Matthews/Crawford/Williams
    Wallace/Batum
    LMA/Thomas
    Camby/Johnson
