Einstein was 26 when he first published his Theory of Relativity. Jacob Barnett has a 170 IQ, higher than Einstein's estimated 160, and lives in a world of knowledge that Einstein did not in 1905. Most scientists who have commented on Barnett's ideas have said he seems to be on the right track. Current experiments are shattering the theory also as we speak. http://news.sky.com/home/technology/article/16075434 http://www.theatlanticwire.com/tech...ysicists-are-nervous-about-speed-light/42949/
it is trivial to demonstrate that faith is useless as a tool for finding objective truth. humans continually come to believe many mutually incompatable things through faith, as well as many things that are later proven to be patently false. you have no means to distinguish the 'rightness' of your faith - no means to determine if you aren't just fooling yourself through faith, as you must necessarily agree a large portion of humanity is prone to do. in light of that when you say your god requires faith you are just making an excuse for your belief, not providing a justification.
It's not hard. Anyone willing to question the absurd can figure him out too. But you've got to question. Nobody ever learned anything without questioning. Even Dorothy had the stones to look behind the curtain. Man up.
lots of physicists think general relativity is likely to just be an approximation of reality simply due to the fact that it appears to be incompatable with quantum mechanics.
Right, you just continue to flaunt your own ignorance. Do you even care if people take you seriously?
My opinion is that the universe is infinite, and these theories may apply in some places while not in others.
I questioned/rebelled for over 30 years. I then found truth. It may very well not be your truth, but it's my truth.
In your case, no. BTW, care to offer an example of my ignorance or do you wish everyone to just accept it on faith?
Sure thing ...in regards to God. I literally laughed out loud when I read this. Yes Maris, you know the mind of God Almighty. Extremely arrogant or ignorant, or both.
we're talking about objective reality here. what's true is true regardless of what you believe. theism is not a matter of aesthetics.
What are you talking about? I believe in God and have faith that what He says (through His Word and through the work of the Holy Spirit) is true. That's my reality. Subjective to you, or not.
what do you mean 'that's my reality'? god either exists or he doesn't independent of what either of us think or believe. we are both in the same reality. unless you're arguing for solipsism, which would be a really odd thing for a christian to do.
I can't fault you for your results then. I'm happy for you if you're happy. I literally found Heaven the day I determined christianity was just another transparent attempt at crowd control. Living in the real world is far more amazing than any story in the bible. I live each day to the fullest and enjoy each and every little nuance of it, knowing this is IT. I'm not expecting a reward or punishment when I die. My life is my reward if I live it, or my punishment if I waste it waiting for something better.
