It should be interesting. Detroit has won 2 straight since moving Ben Gordon into the starting lineup. He scored 26 points as Detroit beat the Magic last night. He's averaging 18 PPG in 5 games, with 4 assists, on 44% shooting. So we'll see our ex-SG on their side of the court, and they'll see their ex-SG on ours. Hopefully Rip will play
I'm happy that Gordon has started his season well. We know that he sometimes struggles early. He deserves a good bounce back season.
Bummer, no game thread. Snoozer of a win. We got quality games from everyone but Deng and Scalabrine. At least Deng got to rest on the 2nd of the back-to-back. He only payed 38 minutes. ;-)
I wish I could go back to a point in my life where I didn't worry about starter minutes, because that's all I could think about in the fourth quarter. Nice to see Rip have a good game.
BG usually starts out hot. And then teams see him a second time and remember that the scouting report says stay in front and get a hand up and BG's efficiency/production go in the tank. And then at the end of the season teams start playing youngsters or stop caring and his numbers go back up. Or at least that's what's happened the last five years. I expect Frank to get more out of him, but his PER won't be this high in two months and I'd be surprised if he is still starting.
