I thought the Pistons gave it a game effort...just don't have the horses.

Boozer had a nice game. Great to see his shot falling, but even better to see his effort on defense.

Brewer and and Lucas also deserve attaboys.

I think I might like Lucas better as a backup PG than CJ. When he got comfortable he looked like more of a natural PG than Watson is. I could also see him playing well with Boozer, since he seems like an able and willing passer off the pick n' roll.

    Precisely.

CJ Watson , as a playmaker/point guard is just god awful.

Agreed! Lucas gives them another dimension to work from and seems as though he would highlight the pick and pop.

-- I don't think I can agree that Lucas is a better play maker than Watson -- he's still abysmal at running the offense -- but I think the discussion is somewhat irrelevant. Lucas provides different assets than Watson and he could be an asset in the playoffs. In this bizarro season where wins and losses just don't mean as much, I hope Thibs will continue to use Lucas in the rotation and hopefully, cut back on Rose's minutes.

-- I think we can say the same for Butler. He's good enough to play minutes without things completely falling apart, and he may be better than that. Deng still somehow played the most minutes last night, and he looks dead. I'm all for Thibs playing a twelve man rotation, and shortening it later in the season if it's appropriate.

-- I like how Thibs is subbing offense defense and match ups at the end of the half and third quarters. It's an opportunity for the team to practice a one minute drill, and removes the tension around set rotations.

-- It looks to me like Noah may be having hand problems again. He's been having trouble catching the ball like he usually does, and he passed up a number of easy shooting opportunities against the Magic. It's something to watch for.

    -- Still waiting on Rip . . .
